  • Can someone give me trier opinion what case is better a cooler master 690 2 advanced or a

    Fractal Arc Midi

I'm going to put this inside

    Asus p8z68 v

Gigabyte gtx 560 super over clock

    And a core I 3 2100 @2.93

  • How the fuck do I turn the fans down? They are driving me crazy.

  • Cooler Master, la référence pour boitier

  • to bad that is not have window

  • @buzz9961 it has a window version, n i own one :)

  • This is on the list for my prospective PC build this summer.

  • I got this for my PC build. It's almost here, It will feature the ASUS Sabertooth P67, i5 2500k 3.3ghz processor, Corsair Vengance 16gb DDR 3 memory, two ASUS 560 Ti 1gb video card in SLI mode. Antec 620 Water cooler for the CPU. Intel 320 120 GB SSD, WD Caviar Green 1.5TB HDD 64MB cache. Samsung BluRay reader combo drive with light scribe. It's gonna be kick ass. Fuck Alienware. I saved $700 buying the parts myself and I got more than what they offered for the stock system, including tools!

  • @radiodejaylee how much did it cost? cause i have a budget

  • QUESTION WOULD A 12 INCH VIDEO CARD FIT CUSE IM BUILDING WIHT THIS CASE AND I AM GETTING THE ASUS GEFORCE GTX 550 TI AND ITS 12 INCHES!

  • @yamamma1212 the 550 ti is about 9 inches, not 12, the 6970 is 12 inches (i dont know any 12 inch nvidia cards, so any card around the power of a 6970 is about 11-12 inches)

  • does the top part of the case come off.. ? i have a water resovior that fits in the 5.25 drive bay

  • @specialformula14 yes it does my friend

  • This case is brilliant bought it as a pre build for £ 79 off pcspecialist but if you go on amazon you can buy this case for £ 69 it's well worth a look

  • @FRICTiiONZz did you get the advanced or the basic one?

  • @carl14allen nope the advanced

  • NOX HUMMER ITS BETTER CHEAPER AND BEAUTIFULL

  • Can be mounted the Corsair H100 in it?

  • @hope00hope does anyone know yet?

  • @hope00hope Yes, that's what I'm getting next week. There is just one 'problem', you have to remove the front panel, then the top panel and install the 2 120mm from corsair h100 on top of the case not from inside, and inside on top you put the radiator and is should fit. I did some tests with 120mm fans and they have space inside the top plastic panel. Otherwise installed all from inside is look there is no space for the 25mm thick fans and the 27mm thick radiator because of the ram.

  • @katoun9 Thank you for the answer! After building it let me a message aboiut it and maybe a few picture or a video about it :)

  • @hope00hope I got my H100 a little faster and I have already installed it and I din't make a video or pictures. It went ok as I have told you. Yes it makes a huge diff: I have an AMD FX-8120 and with stock cooler it had with app 20 degrees more and made a huge noise. Now I got even 9 degrees Celsius on idle and app 24 on load and I can enjoy the silence :D

  • @katoun9 It sounds awsome!! Hope that i can get one of theese to in a couple of months :)

  • @hope00hope yes it can be mounted in it !!

  • can you fit 2 gtx 560 ti's in this case? Thanks :)

  • @rawnzii Yes, I have two 560 ti's in this case and they fit perfectly.

  • have it... LOVE IT!

  • i guess ill get this to replacet my NZXT Lexa S Custom Case.

  • lmao 99.99 :under 100 dollars:

  • I bought this case, very very content!

  • ese e do caralho

  • Nice

  • with all these fans isnt this case noisy ?

  • @FalconEyez51 It's veeery noisy :(

  • @FalconEyez51 ive got the case and it is super quiet :D

  • Anyone know where I can find an additional 3 1/2" from 5 1/4" drive frontplate, in case I wish to run 2 3 1/2" drives?

  • Should i get this or the Corsair Carbide 500R ?

  • @MrHalfdan Isn't much of a difference, but the CM 690 is cheaper, so I would go with that.

  • This case is a PC builders dream. It's not too big and it's not too small. I have the nVidia 690 and I love it. There's also a clear sided door that can be purchased for these cases and it looks cool.

  • Getting this case with my new PC.. Can't wait :D

  • I have this case and it is the best you can get. Not to Big, Not to Small and very good space inside it. I promise that it seems cooler in reality. + over 100 dollars is to much for just the case it is the stuff inside you need to play whit the price

  • can i put a Gigabyte HD 6950 OC (29cm Long) graficcard into this case?

  • Comment removed

  • yes as the case can fit 30cm cards :)

  • @garsk96 thnx

  • can i put a corsair h100 in a Cooler Master CM690II ?

  • @TheXBlazex also in the top ?

    push pull configuratie ?

  • I notice the mortherboard you guys use, is it a X58 - UD3/5/7 series mortherboard ?.. i my self have a X58A-UD5 and would love to know if theres enofh space for 3 mounted HD5xxx (dual slots) gfx. since i need room for 3 of those, and i find it hard to spot if there is this needed room, especially since the Gigabyte X58 seems to have all the PCi-E slots a bit low on the board. I belive this is the isue, but can you give me some light on the isue ?.

  • does this case have 3.0 usb ports AND 2.0 USB? please reply thx.

    good video too

  • @hunkyjelly the new version comes with just usb 3.o and esata

  • @hunkyjelly Yes, but you will need to buy the USB3.0 version of course, the one hardwarecanucks reviewed is the USB 2.0 version

  • @hunkyjelly No, one has USB 2.0 and eSATA and one has USB 3.0.

  • I like the really simplistic yet complete look to the case.

  • i have this case and it has an I/O panel problem. it resets every time i plug in something in the front.

  • @BetterDayz19 then you probably connectet the front panel wires wrong...

  • I'm so glad that i got this chassi :) Maybe not the coolest looking but one of the better i ever had !

  • got mine for $69.99 last december with free shipping from newegg. the hyper 212 plus fits just fine.

  • Awesome review,thanks.

  • I have this one, with stock cooling and no additional fans, though the graphics card has two fans (Asus GT 560 TI). The temps are 30*C idle and barely into the 50s when gaming.

  • @GisleAune Do you have any additional cooler in your case except the included ones?

  • @Arkos13031, No, only the included fans and the stock heat sink on the processor. Gets up to 65 in a real 100% on all cores stress test, but if a game manages to max out cores like that (example: Dragon Age: Origins), it's most probably a bug and it's temporarily solved by setting the affinity to only two cores.

  • The only issue with the CM690II I have is it doesnt seem to support hotswap on the top bay for some reason.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm curious about the PSU mounting options... my present set up has its PSU fan pointed down at the grates (it's an old centurion case from 2008), over the years this arrangement has kept my system cool but it's also sucked up a great deal of animal hair from my cat. The fan in the PSU has begun to make noise. I see multiple screw holes on this case where the PSU slot is, and I wonder if it would allow a "fan facing up" arrangement.

  • @WiiClassic2usb It can mount the PSU both ways without issues.

  • @jamtraxx - Awesome. If it didn't, I was going to go for the Corsair Carbide 400R but that's a slightly more expensive case. Any idea if the fans on the CM690II are Pulse Width Modulated?

  • This will be the case for my first build, can't wait *drools*

  • @CockatooFilms Snap, I want this for my first build too :)

  • Guys need help with a build, the CM 690 lite, or the HF 912 plus?

  • Are there like these little filter foam things infront of the fans so it keeps the dust out?

  • will a MSI GTX 580 Lightning fit in this case? (305mm)

  • @DevilishJ

    Wondering that to :)

  • @MrDJHappyFace i found out that it doesn't.. the free space is only 300mm...

  • @DevilishJ

Crap, now Im thinking about either the haf x or the rv02

  • @MrDJHappyFace i'm thinking Carbide 400R :p

  • @DevilishJ I use the GTX 580, and this case so that shouldt be a problem :)

  • @xRoYaaaLo do you have the msi 580? because the clearance in the case is 300mm and the msi gtx 580 lightning is 305mm..

  • @DevilishJ I use the GTX 580 "GOOD" version 1.5gb its gainward

  • @DevilishJ

I wan't this case (nvidia edition) with a 590 so I hope so!

  • " under $100 "

    "$99.99 "

    GTFO.

  • at 5:11 you can see the front has a dent haha!

  • @andreyka64

I think that's the fan glint, Buddy.

  • NEWS UPDATE (This is not spam, but the truth): As of right now, September 21, 2011 the Cooler Master Silent pro 850 watt and 1000 watt modular power supply are being sold on Amazon for $89.99 and and $129.99 respectively. This is one hell of a deal and I couldn't help but snag the 850 watt psu last night! TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS DEAL WHILE IT STILL LASTS!

  • COUGAR Evolution Black SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 94.99 this case is AWSOME!

  • how should i install the fan at the back of the cpu? should it pull air out of the case?

  • @marino4691 yes

  • @marfg12345 are you sure? ok. thx

  • @marino4691 yes, because hot air always goes up, the back fan should ALWAYS exhaust that heat out of the case or else you would have warm air build up in the case causing cpu overheat, but side and front fans should intake air

if you have another fan on the top of the case it should exhaust air too

  • @marfg12345 ah yep sure. but i meant the 80mm fan at the back of the cpu. or is this one useless?

    thanks for your reply

  • @marino4691 at the back of the cpu?? wht case has that lol

i don't know, it seems logical for it to directly blow on to a cpu chip

but, either way, you wouldn't get a lot from it i guess, let it blow cold air on the cpu

  • @marfg12345 ye, watch 5:14 :)

  • @marino4691 ahhh, yea im sorry, i came to this vid for no reason xD i have a coolermaster HAF932 case that doesn't have that cpu back fan

i would suggest blow cold air on the chip, unless there is a lot of heat building up behing the cpu, than just revert it

  • @marfg12345 hehe. ok

  • this is a good solid case. cant beat the price, got mine for 69.99 + free shipping.

this would be the perfect case if:

    1. they would relocate the top power buttons to the top 5.25" drive bay, facing front.

    2. extend the top mesh cover all the way to the front, get rid of the hot swap.

    3. redesign the hard drive bays so the center section comes out.

I took out all the wiring to the top panel connections due to static problems.

my mobo came with a usb 3.0 front panel connector.

  • @ItWasntMe456 - I just got this case... I can't figure out how the hell to get the top panel off (I need to get to the top fan so I can unscrew it and reposition it so the cord is coming out from the left back side... that way I can actually plug it in where I need it to), all I can manage is to get the front panel off... can't find the clips for the top.

  • @WiiClassic2usb take off both side panels. reach under the lip at the top and you will feel 6 tabs. 2 in the center and 2 at each end. gently push them outward and and pull up. start at the back and work your way to the front. it will come off

  • @ItWasntMe456 They've released a USB 3.0 version of the 690 II case and should be in retail stores soon.

  • @ItWasntMe456 They seem to have updated the case, adding a USB 3 version and fixing the shock issue by grounding the front panel. Just got one, love it! :)

  • @AllAroundBang where did you see the updated case with usb 3.0?

  • @ItWasntMe456 Not even sure where you could find one. But when I bought this, it was slightly updated and the box had a sticker with 'USB 2.0 version' checked. The other was the USB 3 version. t supposedly doesn't include the card holder and removes the eSATA to make room for 2 USB3 and 2 USB@ ports...

  • @ItWasntMe456 I said I didn't see it, but a sticker on the USB2 version I got mentioned it so it must exist. A quick Google search could lead you to this: pccasegear com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=18722

  • @AllAroundBang not a biggie. my motherboard came with a usb 3.0 front panel connecter anyway. the bracket fits into a 5 1/4 cover with a 3.5" cutout so it looks factory.

  • I'm seriously looking at this case as an upgrade to my Coolermaster Elite 370. The 370 is great but I want black inside and cable management, drive slots for SSD. Looks like a superb case.

  • does this one support h60?? plz let me know...

  • @ankanbads yah, duh

  • How easy do you think it would be to change the blue LED to red?

  • wow I was looking for some nice looking, great airflow case, clicked this by accident, and I think I have a winner here.

  • Dam.. I really want the white edition of this case.. its soo beautiful...

  • THIS CASE IS AWESOME jUST GOT IT AND SO EASY TO KEEP CLEAN AND COOL.

  • o you think will fit a cooler master v8 and a hd6970 videocard? or should i go for the haf922?

Does anybody tried it? because i'll buy it this week

  • o you think will fit a cooler master v8 and a hd6970 videocard? or should i go for the haf922?

  • This or the Corsair Carbide 400r?

  • Just got it today. Spent 2 hours basically "re-assembling" my PC, never had i ever encountered such easiness and cleanness. Not a single issue in wiring and my first "proper" case. Filters everywhere!.

  • I can't decide between CM 690 II adv or Corsair Carbide 400R or BitFenix Shinobi. What do you guys prefer?

  • @YoukipsD funny. i am also thinking about those 3. but i think im going to go with 690.

  • could a xfx 6950 fit in this?

  • @Kisame3214 yes I have it inside.

  • i'm not sure witch one to get this one or the HAF-922?

  • Can you also buy extra LED fans that you can connect to the LED On/off button?

  • @Remi1115 i dont think so

  • @rubix63

    Ok, thank you.

  • Very good video! Well done!

  • i would be interested to know if it would fit H100 cooler with push/pull setup? is it enough space at the top? I dont want to take the radiator out of the case to have push/pull. Owerall nice review.

  • @BaronaSSS it will support H100 on push pull config.

  • @BaronaSSS Problem is tha even Noctua 14 is too high. so I had to use lower NOCTUA NH-U12P . Even with lower 12P-15,8cm version You can forget of mounting big left side cooler too.

  • @BaronaSSS

I have this case watercooled with a XSPC RS240 radiator on top and a RX240 (thick radiator) on the bottom. So yes, it will definitely fit the H100.

  • @BaronaSSS Yes.

  • ont he front u can put 2x 120 mm ?

  • @MrKontrol90 unfourtunatley no, you can put a 120mm or 1400mm in two different positions

  • @coldfusion214 thx :) and whats that thing that u puted on the botom the radiator its like 2 fans ? or water cooling ?

  • @MrKontrol90 i think its a rad for water cooling

  • will this case fit a cooler like the cooler master V8?

  • GTX 560 Ti is very small, so I would say yes.

  • Will two GTX 560 Ti fit in this case?

  • @VZ7inHD Definatly. I have a GTX 560 ti in the same case. looks like a beast, the longest graphics card it can hold is around 11 inches, plenty of space.

  • @HardwareCanucks

Can you tell me, please, what's the name of that water cooling system (5:01)?

By the way, your reviews are awesome. They really are the best and the most helpfull I've watched. This really helped me in deciding to buy this case or not and I bought it!

This case is great. I personally think it's the best mid-tower case on the market.

Not just for the price, but for the features too! Guys, if you're looking for a mid-tower, this is it.

My GPU temp. is about 30C lower :)

  • the review somehow missed the most idiotic thing i have seen in a case design. for the power supply, they put the filter INSIDE under the psu. all the other filters are OUTSIDE. this means to clean the psu filter you have to open the pc, REMOVE the psu, clean the filter, then reinstall everything. W!T!F! they turn a 20 second process into a BIG Pain in the BUTT.

  • @scotacus

Yes totally true, I think that is the only time they made that mistake, I own the HAF912 (which is cheaper) and even on that case you can take it off easily from the outside.

  • awesome review, and i just ordered one too:)

  • GREAT INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC!!! WHAT IS THIS MUSIC???? :D

  • Great review thanks !

  • How do you get This Stuff??? For Free? i want to do reviews to and need help Lol Thanks :D

  • anyone know if a h50 fits well in this case?

  • That´s nice! So functional and still great designed!

  • I went to see it in real life and it looks really bad =(...

But... It does a great job... =P

  • @myaccount140 WTH it looks even better in real life

  • Comment removed

  • @ringelos

Check out the Cooler Master CM Storm Enforcer Mid tower

    It's cheaper as-well =P

  • @myaccount140 the cheap plastic front cover makes it look terrible

  • gana get me 1!!! looks awesome!!!!!!! :D

  • Does a gtx 480 fit in that case ?´

  • @CallofDaniel Great , thanks .

  • I really like this case

  • My only concern with tooless HD racks like this is vibration. It's a quick way to get them in and out, but if you've got 6 of them in there, I've got to believe not having them more secure will make some noise.

  • @Hotobu Won't be an issue in this case, they're stuck as if they're screwed in.

  • Damn, i accidentally ate some thermal paste

  • @PrOxGriZZly You won't overheat for a while then :)

  • @PrOxGriZZly

    I hope that it's a joke.

  • @PrOxGriZZly how do i open the side?

  • Does antec kühler 620 H2O fit in this case?

  • @goldypker Without issue at the back of the case.

  • @behem0th777 Ok thanks!

  • damn i can't decide whether I should choose this case or the haf922. i'm going to have the corsair h70 in it + on ekstra 120 mm fan? send me a pm with what u think of the two cases and btw on going to ordered the compter on the 11 of juli

  • needs more fans

  • This,HAF 912 or thernaltake dokker, please let me know

  • Thank you very much for this review. The one thing I'd like to know is if the LED light on off switch only supports the stock fans or can I add more fans to it?

In other words if I want to add more LED fans can I somehow attach them to the switch and have it also turn the lights on those fans off without turning off the fan.

  • Gonna order the case xD

  • 0:31 for awesome candian accent :)

  • just changed to this case =)

  • Love this case, 2 questions, does the side panels come with dust filters, and if fans are installed on the side panels, would it block a large Heat sink like a Noctua NH-D14 Dual.

  • I'm getting this case to build my first computer, great case.

  • @HardwareCanucks will the ssd slot fit a samsung 256gb ssd?

  • cooler-master sucks they can't even spell, on their website they spelled power supply poswer supply. My PSU broke within a year its now making rattling sounds.

  • @REPOMAN24722 well you bought a psu from a make thats known for its cases.... if you wanted a good psu go ocx or corsair

  • @lotussheath I just bought a thermaltake PSU I hear bad things about corsair RAM and their PSU's cost too much, Im not paying $170 for a 650W PSU I got a 700W for $100.

  • @REPOMAN24722 well you pay for the quality, at the end of the day if one of your parts break in the pc then oh well its a shame that one part broke but if your psu breaks it can destroy most of the pc in the worst case, you really should do some research on psus since some can be really dodgy and some can be extremely loud if you go any where near their max. Im looking at the xfx pro 650 or 750 which is about £60-£75 so about $90-$113 usd and its very good
