wait, does the golden skate do a judging count? Do they like place the skaters and give them trophies and stuff? Surprisingly, I haven't heard of the golden skate awards since now.

@jojossk8rproductions Well I first heard of it when another figure skater by the name of Shizuka Arakawa and Carolina Kostner last performed for the skate award in 2007 though nobody have heard of it. I just came across the video just quite by accident.

competitively, she's always been rather weak in pressure situations but she has qualities that allow her to milk the COP system for all it's worth (spins, spirals, extension, etc.). but with the new skaters (Mao, Yu-Na, etc.) she loses her edge because they have those same great qualities in addition to some of the hardest jumps possible and everyone knows the jumps were always where Sasha struggled. it's gonna be interesting to see how she fares the second time around...good luck to her.
