I also get a kick out of hearing the "Yeah" call and response at the end where the guys voice cracks -- that's sort of thing they usually didn't bother fixing back then...I think it adds to the charm of some of the oldies.

@Kimmell2010 Probably what was controversial was that it lasted 3:54...in 1965 AM stations wouldn't play anything over 3min..they wanted time for commercials and thought listeners would be bored--since many were 12-14 years old they were probably right...and they would often speed up the songs 5-7% so the song would end sooner, leaving more time to play more commercials...and they would dynamically compress the music to make it sound bright and powerful and get the AM signal to go farther..
