I hate how they didn't inculde the part where Dudley told Harry that he cared about him. I felt it was such a big part. It made me cry when I read it int he book. :( aww Dudleyy

Most of us are young, and we don't understand what children mean to their parents. But the scene with Hermione somehow gives me an idea just of how much parents love their children. Imagine if they someday just would be gone...
@dreasmile I totally agree. As soon as I saw her raise her wand behind them I got chills and I almost cried (I don't cry at movies) when her pictures started to disappear. I think part of it is the magic of getting to know the characters over such a long period of time. We're lucky to have this, especially those of us who are so young that we can remember Harry Potter always being a part of out lives (:

I gasped so loud in the threate when I saw Hermione raise her wand to her parents. ='( Can you believe the indefinite unredeeming remorse she must've felt for the rest of her life after she did that....wow. It's Heartbreaking.

Hey, darl. Look up "Can obliviate be reversed?" and look at the first answer (should be a Yahoo Answers question. One of the answers mentions an interview in which Rowling states that Hermione later reversed it. :D Thank God!

I thought they could and should have began this movie with Dumbledore's funeral. A shot with harry placing the "Elder" wand in D's coffin and a quick zoom in cut-to-title would have book ended the first movie creatively.
If you like twilight fine, but don't try to compare the two. There is NO comparison. Harry Potter is a well written, excellent storyline that will go on for years and years. Twilight is a short lived story about a girl with a crush that will last for a few years and no one will even remember in 5 years time. Thank you J.K. Rowling for your excellent vision into the world of Harry Potter!!!!!

@RedMatterProductions You know, I've always found that a bit difficult to stomach. The Death Eaters don't KNOW her parents don't know anything about her. If I were a Death Eater, I'd just assume her parents were pretending not to know they have a daughter, so I'd just torture them even more. That plan could have really backfired on Hermione. I hate when people use it in movies/books.
I feel so accomplished....I made three of my friends watch the Harry Potter movies from the start. They're on Order of the Phoneix right now. :) They all wished they had been fans at the beginning. And I have another friend who is a FREAK over Twilight and Harry Potter. She agrees with all her heart that Harry Potter is a thousands times more better than Twilight will ever be...Books and movies. And I swear.. these movies always make me cry.
This is one of the saddest parts in the movie along with her and beatrix in the mudblood scene where's she screaming and crying and also where her and harry are dancing together which is kinda nice but also sad cos they're both having a bad time and everything's desperate and ron's not there

I cried when Hermione was disappearing from the pictures-the way the music is played and you hear her voice shake as she casts Obliviate on them :( Hermione makes the ultimate sacrifice for her parents (removing herself from their lives :( )...Emma was unreal and amazing in this one-from this scene to her scenes w. Rupert to the torture :( SO cant wait for Part 2!!!!!

yeah i agree...u can NOT compare Harry Potter and twilight...twilight is nothin compared to HP...i cant wait to see deathly hallows part 2 tonite....im so freakin excited...its gonna be sad and awesome at the same time...ill cry for everyone who dies and also cause its ending...ive watched these since the beginning and its all ending here...sux soooooo bad but im glad its finally here...

@thomas4457 So that her parents wouldn't be attacked by the Death Eaters. If she removes all memory of her, they won't know anything about her for the Death Eaters to hurt them.

@RedMatterProductions You know, I've always found that a bit difficult to stomach. The Death Eaters don't KNOW her parents don't know anything about her. If I were a Death Eater, I'd just assume her parents were pretending not to know they have a daughter, so I'd just torture them even more. That plan could have really backfired on Hermione. I hate when people use it in movies/books.

I feel so accomplished....I made three of my friends watch the Harry Potter movies from the start. They're on Order of the Phoneix right now. :) They all wished they had been fans at the beginning. And I have another friend who is a FREAK over Twilight and Harry Potter. She agrees with all her heart that Harry Potter is a thousands times more better than Twilight will ever be...Books and movies. And I swear.. these movies always make me cry.

This is one of the saddest parts in the movie along with her and beatrix in the mudblood scene where's she screaming and crying and also where her and harry are dancing together which is kinda nice but also sad cos they're both having a bad time and everything's desperate and ron's not there

@Gothchick208 There is a way to lift the curse, it's not in the book but JK Rowling said in a press conference that Hermione goes to Australia to lift the curse from her parents
And the Healers in The OOTP said Lockhart was regaining his memory, I think..I'm not sure..

Word's cannot even describe how much there isn't a competition or comparison.

I cried when Hermione was disappearing from the pictures-the way the music is played and you hear her voice shake as she casts Obliviate on them :( Hermione makes the ultimate sacrifice for her parents (removing herself from their lives :( )...Emma was unreal and amazing in this one-from this scene to her scenes w. Rupert to the torture :( SO cant wait for Part 2!!!!!
