  • I have opened the mayor.

  • This game is damm Amazing!

  • I was scared to death when i done this. O_o I wasn't prepared that a game will remember my doings. Omg this was the first and the last time i was so scared

  • Comment removed

  • They literally thought of everything in this game.

  • @GarrettInShadows I wouldn't say everything. The depth early on gives the impression that the whole game is like that, but it is not.

  • They literally thought of everything in this game.

  • This game will never stop to amaze me. NEVER.

  • "I guess that means I don't get the OP bonus?"

"You can turn in your weapons right now, if you're going to be a smartass."

  • LOL that's how to get the Assault Rifle at the Island

  • "I have opened the mayor and his three daughters".

  • lol if you go in the Girls restroom something like this happens xD

  • I remember comming across this because I wanted the soldiers assualt rifle. I thought it would better than the crossbow I chose in the beginning so I killed him for it :)

  • "By the way, did you see what happened to the soldier we sent into the statue? He turned up dead, thrown off the statue, and gibbed with a crowbar."

    "No, sir. Friendly fire?"

  • uhh uhh *gaaahhh-ahhh*

  • I never tried killing him. I did stick the prod up his ass a few times to get his rifle early though.

  • Who gives a shit about his corked up investigation as long as you have the soldiers rifle! hehehehe

  • once again the original deus ex surprise me with the "everything you do has consecuenes"

  • What I loved about deus ex was the fact the intro storyline was so mildly paced you genuinely thought the story was going to be not so important.

"on noes I will be reprimanded for murdering the guard"

2 missions later you were effectively uncovering the worlds biggest conspiracy and mowing down fucking techno viking soldiers

  • On PC, Deus Ex plays you!

  • "cuts like a hot knife through butter" holy fuck thats genius!!

  • Hope Deus Ex HR has moments like this where your off script actions are mentioned. Anyone else get a telling off by this boss for going in to the women's toilets? lol

  • @Met182 Haha yeah me too, after that Shannon hated me.

  • @Met182 Lord, I loved how you never lived that down, EVERY one talked about it. Well, at least until you killed them all getting out of UNATCO.

  • What is the name of later music playing at the background?

  • @aajii22 the track is called unatco conversation.

  • What a shame

  • I don't know about that moment! Wow!

    For what that moment?

  • I normally use a tranquilizer dart on him...that way i dont "kill" him and i get a assault rifle earl:P also j manderley chanes dialogue and says :"....turned up unconsious"

unbreakable dialogue in this game....thas why the re-playability is so high

  • He was a good statue, what a rotten way to die

  • Oh fuck, I never knew about that.

  • "Aquinas spoke of the mythical city in the hills..."

  • What a shame.

  • Jesus Christ, I've been playing this game regularly since 2001 and I swear every time I find something new. I've never knew about this little piece of alternative dialogue.

  • How can you turn up dead? Lol...

  • @zcheeseolly You turn..., and then BAM!

You are dead, not big surprise.

  • try to enter in the bath room at your first visit at unatco, manderley will have something to say!

  • @SalvoPlissken female bath

  • @SalvoPlissken : " How unprofessional ! " , " Don't think i won't report this ! " =))

  • god i love this game

  • I knocked the soldier unconsious AND then exploded it with GEP rocket into pieces, but still they think he is unconsious - weird.

  • @ONNIHOLTTA

lol, they can't program all of wacko outcomes, can they? :P

  • @DragonSpikeXIII i see they can't :D

  • Same thing happend to me about the statue and bar.

  • old men...warning...warning!

  • I don't understand.

  • Has any one of you ever carried a stunned J.Manderley body aroound the world? :>

  • He also comments if you knock the guy unconscious rather than killing him. Either way, you should definitely do this as you can then loot (and keep!) his assault rifle, which is one of if not the first you can find.

  • OLD MEN, RULING THE WORLD.

  • Unatco?

  • @iiigh Savage!

  • @iiigh United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition

  • lol i saw this too when i slaughtered the trooper mwuhaha

  • He was a good soldier. What a rotten way to die.

  • What a Shame...

  • First time i played the game, i just tought wooo he has a rifle, i want that. And headshot.

  • What a shame, WHAT A GAME!

  • Deus Ex, there's always something you haven't seen yet.

  • It's so true. So amazing how many things they threw in to make your every go exceptionally fun and entertaining. It's the epitome of the game that keeps on giving.

  • @TouhaiDensetsu

So true, I just played through it again and found a bunch of dialogue I'd never seen.

I always found an unlimited biocell trick by accident. If you go into the bar with nicolette in paris and have a full inventory and buy a biocell from the guy in the bar he just keeps dropping them at your feet without having to pay

  • @TouhaiDensetsu ...And something you won't ever see in today's games.

  • What a shame.

  • XD Wow I Never Knew That

  • what a rotten way to die.

  • What a shame

  • ahah I got that when I played the game trying to kill everybody.

  • what a shame ...

  • A BOMB!

  • What a shame.

  • Honestly if Deus Ex 3 will be even half as great as this game I will be happy.

  • when comes out?

  • Late 2010. it might be delayed like a lot of big games seem to be.

  • oh. ok. than I guess i play the first two parts first :)

  • Mostly likely late part of 2010 or early part of 2011 according to the developers. I think it is more likely to be out by summer 2011.

  • yehr. I will need a new pc than <.< mine is 2009 but a cheep one with low power...

  • Well, it depends on what "cheap" is. It also depends on whether or not it is a desktop or laptop. (desktops are much faster for same price)

  • I've heard it'll be more Cyberpunky, thank god.

  • What a rotten shame of A BOMB!

  • A Bomb!

  • What a Shame.

  • I have opened the mayor. When the power drops, go in and go in and go in and go in like the U.S Marshall and his three daughters, and we lose the vaccine!

  • that mod rules xD

  • Get PILLS against my orders!

    Get moving!

  • Good way to get lil' extra ammo, when you're playing like I tend to do sometimes, killing absolutely everything that moves, it helps. Hohoho.

  • Not so friendly, I'm afraid.

  • What a rotten way to die.

  • what a shame...

  • Lol me too ...

  • LOL why is everyone saying what a shame?

  • what a shame

  • JC says it at an ironic situation (killing someone, but I dont remember who)

  • ever go in the womens bathroom? same basic thing happens.

  • Yeah. The first time I went there Manderley lecturd me for going in there.

  • "don't let it happen again, that kind of thing gives agents a bad name"

  • ˙ǝɯɐɥs ɐ ʇɐɥʍ

  • exactly why i love this game

  • imagine a scramble grenade being use against you

it make your allies attack you

    that will be awesome

  • SHAT A WHAME

  • Uhm no it's not a stealth game. One of the things that made Deus Ex what it is, is the fact that you can play it however you want.

  • Agree.. But its one of the best games with the stealth element, because you can actually complete the game with stealth only... hard, but possible..

  • emahs a tahw

  • What a shame.

  • He he he!

  • nice video. i noticed that too

also... the bartender in the underworld tavern... if you kill her, later on when you talk to vinny the marine, he says the bartender's dead so the drinks are all free XD

  • Well, it's the best game ever so =)

  • hahahha... that's why i love this game :)

  • You know what I wish, this game got released a few months later, cause they started adding in all these details after they had finished the game, so maybe later in the game they would know the difference between knocking someone out, and killing them

  • the knock out thing works with the soldier, but with various other characters it just doesnt work and they're considered dead

  • Because the end was rushed, and they started adding these things after they finished everything else, these were finishing touches, but they weren't able to have them the whole game through

  • That is curious... I wonder if the game ever refers to that incident again, later on.

  • cool easter egg

  • @dermuneus That's not an easter egg. That is a feature which is encountered more then once in some occasions.(Killing random ppl in a bar for example).

  • It's all these little things that make this game so great. Too bad people nowadays don't care about stuff like this and only care about how realistic everything looks.

  • what a shame

  • Too right.

But I would use the word "realistic" in that context.

  • Remember to steal the soldiers assault rifle!

  • At some point Manderly talks about there being a thief at UNATCO HQ, does anyone know if he refer to the player when you start opening closed offices, cabinets and so on?

  • nah its Shannon...

    you know

    "Expecting a show?"

  • Kind of like, if you go to the ladies resteroom, you'll find a girl who will complain and say she'll report you, later if you talk to him he'll mention it.

  • haha this game is full of this kinda things. really cool. thx for recording it

  • I went to the extreme with this soldier.

First, I knocked him out. Then I carried his body back to the ducks and threw him in the water where I continued to knife him until his body splattered out.

He still turned up unconscious somehow?

  • If you knock him out he says something like "Do you know what's wrong with the soldier at the top of the statue? He hasn't reported in."

  • What a shame.

  • i killed joe greene at the bar and manderley told me about shooting at the bar xD

  • great hint, pal. I was not aware of this dialogue. Maybe I'll make a video about that.

  • Yes he does say that because Shannon is there.

  • Same thing happens when you go into the womens bathroom before meeting Manderley for the first time. He says something about "embarrassing behavior" or something like that.

  • Shit, another thing I didn't know you could do in this game. O_o So much detail.

  • Try killing the Bartender, The place is nearly empty and the remarks about it are funny.

  • xD this is really funny!!!!

  • the detail is crazy, soo many things taken in to account. Ghhaha this game is soo good, but when i play it today the feelin aint the same. Its old i need new.

  • I actually stunned him with the prod on another playthrough, and found that it actually changes Manderley's dialogue to, "he turned up unconscious."

They really did put in a lot of detail.

  • It's amazing those wizards at Ion Studios come up with. So many things in the game can change it, a little or a lot.

[i. e. little - this, lot - killing Anne Narvarre before she kills Morgan Lebedev]

  • I completely agree. It seems to me that they thought of almost every minuscule detail, meticulously paying attention to all possible actions by the player. Jewels like Deus Ex are certainly difficult to find nowadays.

  • Games like this are the best.

  • I was actually amazed that this didn't hit my computer sooner. Not many people appreciate a good first person shooter with a plot and its unique ideas.

  • "No sir, friendly fire?"

    "Not so friendly I'm afraid"

    priceless

  • I took his assault gun and put like 5 accuracy mods 2 recoils 1 silencer 1 lasers and mastered rifles i never miss the head XD

  • Hell, I always tranquilized the guy. Free ammo!

  • He sneaks up on you and freaks you out if you run out of there, it's easy to mistake him for a bad guy and kill him the first time you play through

  • So this is where the "I have opened" came from in Maderley's "I have opened the mayor and his three daughters" bit from the Malkavian mod.

  • When the power drops, go in and go in and go in and go in like the US Marshal and this THREE daughters, and we lose the vaccine...

  • a shame.

  • Get pills against my orders, go!

  • @zionravescene pussy cats 250

  • @YoJimBoHugabaJoe You will be working with Agent Orange. I have seen that he knows the procedure of a good [prairie dog town].

  • @zionravescene I...I...I...I thought you was a gep gun

  • @YoJimBoHugabaJoe My WOLF wins and takes over the whole country.

  • holy crap, i didnt even know you could do that! needless to say, awesome game.

  • this game ownes

  • hmm its been years since I played this, so is that soldier going to kill Leo gold if you dont stun/kill him?

  • if you wanted to you could've picked up the assault rifle.

  • lol.

I noticed this on my second or third playthrough.

You can also use the riot prod on him and he'll just say "he turned up unconscious"

    Nothing comes of it, though

  • ha... no, I bet its because that's the first time you get to see the assault rifle. The designers wanted to scare the typical gamer who would kill for the new gun.

  • Darn, why kill when you can just zap him, then steal his gun ?

Press charges, yeah, but bureacracy the way it is, UNATCO would be attacking JC for other reasons once they bother to find out he stole some rifle.

  • What will be next I mean if you've killed soldier on statue, Munderley will complete invastigation?

  • I have DE: Invisible War, and now I know what that room in JC's sanctuary is.. It's Manderly's office!
