Hey guys, I am sure this is mentioned somewhere in the posts... Are you running a recto 4x12 cab on this vid? Selling my Lonestar to get the mark V and wondering about cab choice. Really would prefer a 2X12. Should I go recto? I want that tight bottom end and wondered if recto might be to big on the bottom end. what you have here sounds... Uh-Ma-Zing, so I thought I would check. Also, I noticed you used the combo on the cleans. What about closed back on the cleans? (Biting nails...)
@tonepursuit Thanks for watching! These vids were done with the 4x12 Rectifier and I think they do excellent with cleans as well as dirt. Very bold and punchy. We have a vid of the 4x12 Rec vs Stiletto too. We have Mark V's and 4x12's in stock and ready to ship! :-)
I'm lovin' my mark v, I just wish there was a way to switch between all the different tones without having to do an amp dance. It's cool though, as a beginner I'm still just figuring out how to use the freaking thing....great videos and very helpful. Thanks man.
@polaris20 The Mark V really doesn't have any more 'noise' than any other tube amp. In our videos we have the amps turned up very loud and the studio lighting tends to exaggerate any kind of noise!
@Marrs47 haha i had a jvm i ditched that ages ago it sucked than i bought a mark v than sold it for a diezel vh4 but now im going back to the mark v it is just the be all and end al of guitar amplification
@jsabo1929 We could possibly do that. Have you checked out the mesa videos for the express? Is there something else you would like to see featured with that amp?
Another great vid, Don. These are the best. The Mark 1 mode is the first mode that really drew me in when i first got the Mark V head. Sweet sweet tone!
@satch4u3 "Sweet" is exactly the way to describe a Mark I. Each note has a sweetness to it... yet it's a very transparent tone, totally responding to your guitar, pickups, and playing technique.
thiiss is Don at haggertys music works haha love this channel

Is the Mark V a noisy amp? It seems to hum a lot in each of the videos. Otherwise, sounds awesome!! Thanks for taking the time to do these videos.
