When it said "two worlds will collide" I think they were referring to Martha and the doctor. Martha is a human living a human life and the doctor is a time traveling alien. When they meet, the two worlds of the normal earth life and time traveling life collide! They don't mean planets!

I heard rumours that the Doctor would regenerate into John Simm halfway through the series but I doubt that now since he's probably going to be the master. John Simm would be a great Doctor though. Captain Jack is back, which is good but I heard he's a little pissed off with the Doctor because he left him on the gamestation.

The problem with the show is it is not keeping with good sci-fi tradition - the original Cybermen were for example a classic tale of man and machine combined into logical symbiosis - they were compelling. The new cybermen were clunking idiots, rendered impotent by the poor 'mobile phone analogy' backstory.
Maybe it`s because I`m older now, but Doctor Who has lost the mystique it used to have. I`m not a fan of the single episode story either. David Tennant is however has great potential. Flying Daleks .. hmmm.. next the cybermen will look like humans in "Terminator" stylee ..more eps like the one with the children wearing gas masks are needed..more smoke and mirrors and less CGI perhaps :-)

rtd says the reason doctor who is not on alien planets is because of budget constrsiant. he wont use forest or quarrys because the show will apparentley have the piss taken. this is why sometome i dont like watching the new series. its too earth based. too lodon. it was done so well beofre. and they did it for the animation . i know btu come on rtd try something new
I don't care that it's not on alien planets, I've just fed up with the ancient plots across the whole of time and space to destroy the earth centering around a london landmark in present day england, seriously they some more future/past shows, and stories that aren't all geared towards the end of the world. That worked for series one but by series two I thought that ep4/ep8and9/ep10 were the only gud ones, although 12 and 13 were quite gud even if they wern't original.
What ARE you talking about? Most of the episodes in Series Two had nothing to do with Earth being destroyed. Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 had nothing to do with Earth being destroied. Not to mention that the only ones where Earth was under great threat was the Episodes with the Cybermen, which their whole character is based on 'Upgrading' the Humans.

The problem with the show is it is not keeping with good sci-fi tradition - the original Cybermen were for example a classic tale of man and machine combined into logical symbiosis - they were compelling. The new cybermen were clunking idiots, rendered impotent by the poor 'mobile phone analogy' backstory.
And there are many more examples.

Maybe it`s because I`m older now, but Doctor Who has lost the mystique it used to have. I`m not a fan of the single episode story either. David Tennant is however has great potential. Flying Daleks .. hmmm.. next the cybermen will look like humans in "Terminator" stylee ..more eps like the one with the children wearing gas masks are needed..more smoke and mirrors and less CGI perhaps :-)

rtd says the reason doctor who is not on alien planets is because of budget constrsiant. he wont use forest or quarrys because the show will apparentley have the piss taken. this is why sometome i dont like watching the new series. its too earth based. too lodon. it was done so well beofre. and they did it for the animation . i know btu come on rtd try something new

I don't care that it's not on alien planets, I've just fed up with the ancient plots across the whole of time and space to destroy the earth centering around a london landmark in present day england, seriously they some more future/past shows, and stories that aren't all geared towards the end of the world. That worked for series one but by series two I thought that ep4/ep8and9/ep10 were the only gud ones, although 12 and 13 were quite gud even if they wern't original.

What ARE you talking about? Most of the episodes in Series Two had nothing to do with Earth being destroyed. Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 had nothing to do with Earth being destroied. Not to mention that the only ones where Earth was under great threat was the Episodes with the Cybermen, which their whole character is based on 'Upgrading' the Humans.
