alot of people are tripping out over this rogue losing her power thing and why they didn't put him in the three x men movie well when they were shooting wolverine movie the producer said the only reason they didn't put him in the first three or two because each mutant have there own story or whatever she said. but who knows he might show up in x men six if they make one. People might think the mutant cure would cure you for good what if it doesn't last a long time and rogue powers come back.

@fastfood420 Didn't you see the last scene in x men last stand? The one with Magneto in it? It shows him regaining his powers again, so it's possible ^^.

They really screwed with the timeline through these movies. According to this, Gambit would be around 20 years older than Rogue, at least, and therefore already around 40 by the time Rogue joins the insttitute in the first film.

Even though it's an awesome idea that all of the Gambit/Rogue lovers would LOVE to see, the X-Men storylines in the movies have been tampered with so much that (like you said) Gambit would be at least 2 decades older than Rogue if not more. Either way, putting Bobby in instead of Gambit was a god damned travesty. He's boring, and the Rogue/Gambit love story is the best one in the X-Men comics (and the longest lasting).
They should make a Gambit movie, and have it end with him becoming and X-Men and meeting Rogue.

Where in the comics, movies or tv shows does it say Gambit ages slower? Hopefully they'll go along with that if they ever make a Gambit movie with him and Rogue together so they can keep Taylor and not replace him with an older guy, when has it ever been said Gambit's mutation makes him age slower?

Yeah but he has that energy converting thing and if his powers hadn't been reduced he would have become the second sun. He can also heal himself at a faster rate than normal (nothing like Wolverine though) so it's not an impossible leap of the mind. This is from the comics.

Fact: Gambit was going to appear in X3, but the idea was scrapped. But before it was, Channing Tatum auditioned for the role of Gambit.
