Never heard of Napolean Dynamite, I prefer to listen to my 80`s ie The Jam , Level 42 Tears For Fears, Joe Jackson , Ultravox and New Order. Though Jamiroquai`s funky style clicked with me straight away the 1st time i heard, very original , unfortunately most of today stuff is artificial junk and constant picking and stealing from other songs. Level 42 were an underground british jazz funk band i guess thats why i liked Jamiroquai so much.
