@YAHSPETSNAZ If you say so. I've been to France many times and the stereotypes don't hold water. If you treat them nicely they treat you nicely, same as most people any where. And if you take the time to learn about the cultural customs you can easily avoid an misunderstands that may result from them.
So let me get this straight you paid some idiots to play overly stereotyped douchebags and be generally annoying to see how people would react? Why would you do that?
@JoeMac824 Because they wanted to see how far they had to go before they would get any reaction or people who put them in their place. I actually read an article about this and it said there were a number of French people they talked who said they knew something was up because they were so over the top, they thought it was one of those TV gag shows or something, those people they edited out.
@xexixk Not surprising. In contrast to all the other what would you do shows I've seen, this one had really stereotypical over the top acting, that seems like it's out of a movie.
@ummonk I've been to Paris & elsewhere in France. They are of course like people anywhere, treat them respectfully and they treat you respectfully. The key to that of course is learning a bit about the culture before hand and what is considered as "respectful" and one can avoid the cultural misunderstandings. Walking up to someone and saying "Excusez moi, parlez vous anglais?" Will get you a much nicer, helpful response then saying "Hey, you speak English!?"
i dont see the big deal with french ppl being rude to americans who cant speak any french. how do americans treat mexicans who cant speak english?

Americans may be annoying, but the French are the most obnoxious first-world assholes ever.
