  • beautiful Music

  • Maşallah ya Helal olsun

  • Really nice clip, mukemmel ses....

Could you write which tuning you used ?

  • thank you. I get confused with the exact notes, since the turkish method transposes. But I believe I've got it tuned to E F# B E A D

  • who made this oud ?

  • yes it is awesome great

  • sirtimagriyor ask to you on which makam do you play what's the notes. u played very good. don't stop it.

  • thank you, it is the makam acemkurdi

  • bravo!

  • good job kevin brother where are you forom? how did yoe learn turkish makams?

  • thank you, I live in the US. I started off by listening to a lot of muzik and taksimlar, I eventually met people that play makam here in my area and studied with those who knew more than what my paltry skills could manage.

  • This is a really beautiful piece, and sharply played. You're very good on this instrument.

I'm currently studying classical guitar, and I'm thinking seriously about taking up the Turkish oud as well. How difficult is it to learn this instrument?

  • thank you. the oud isn't very difficult in of itself, but learning Turkish makam and the repertoire is another matter. Learning to play the right notes with out frets is a challenge.

  • nuh erkol u dinleyin

  • Perfect. Five stars.

  • Beautiful :)

  • I'm new to playing the oud. My gf just came back from Iran and bought me one! It's a Turkish oud, but vastly out of tune. I need to find a teacher or at least some reading instruction manuals to get started. What tuning are you using--obviously, Turkish, and not Arabic--starting from the bottom high strings to the top low single one?

  • well, in western pitches: E F# B E A D

    D A E B F# E (hi to low)

The lowest string is frequently tuned to what ever is the lowest note to be played, so sometimes I change it to D or D#, ect depending on the makam - the scale. Let me know if there is anyother way I can help. there are some good web sites around.

  • cok güzel bir calisma

  • Cok guzel.
