9/21/08 my child Melissa was given 1 hr to live at Columbia Presby Hosp Bx NY. Ref to Judges 21, this was Israel’s doing, they made a foolish vow to God and chose to go to battle and take virgin women captive, they were not blessed by God. Verse 25 of that chapter states that “every man did that which was right in his own eyes” wow, sounds like a lot of what is happening today.
Ref to Numbers 31 and Deuteronomy 20, Israel was and still is God’s chosen nation/people and they were to rule and even battle as such and were to keep His commandments, which we know from His word many times, they did not.
Deuteronomy 22 is speaking of fornication (pre-marital sex) and God commanding that the man marry the woman. Nothing wrong there, if the man wants the calf, he needs to be willing to take care of it.
Ref Exodus 22, this is beastiality/sodomy, God has commanded against this and His command in the Old Testament, under the Law was death for such an act. We are now under the grace of God because of Christ, sodomy is still sin but God will forgive and give power for one to overcome the habitual practice of sin through the blood of Christ.
Leviticus 24, this is also in reference to God’s commands, not using His name in vain, which is also still sin, but as I stated before God will forgive one who repents through the blood of Christ
Leviticus 25, bondsemen/slaves were not like what we think of today as slaves and were not to be treated unfairly/unjustly. A closer correlation would be like today’s employer/employee relationship. They earned money and could actually become rich. They could buy their freedom or after a set time they could choose to remain or leave. If their master/employer treated them well, they stayed.
Exodus 21 is the giving of the famed Ten Commandments of God, which correlate with all of life and how we are to live. The Ten Commandments show us that we cannot please God in our own doing, not one person, except Christ Himself, has ever, is now or will ever be able to keep ALL of these commandments.
That is why God sent His Son Jesus to die for ALL the sins of man, one only needs to seek that forgiveness of God and trust Jesus Christ as his own Savior and Lord.
As to the reference of innocent ones being killed in the flood, first, NO ONE is an innocent, not even sweet precious little babies. There is none righteous, no not one, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. He chose, due to the sinful lifestyle of mankind at that time, to destroy and start over, which as the creator I believe He has that option.
He did not completely destroy though as He did find one man, Noah, who walked with God and his family to re-populate the earth after the flood. God made a promise to never destroy earth that way again, which at this time, because of the sinful lifestyle of mankind, I am truly grateful.

@Jonny0Colorado The Holy/Christian Bible has been proven to be completely accurate. Both archaeologically and historically. Never over 2,000 years has there been 1 flaw founded in the Holy Bible. There are also things you can't explain unless you believe in God working miracles. He contacts each and every one of us in a different way. Like saving your life, doing the impossible, etc. It also easily beats believing in nothing.

They believe that the Messiah hasn't come to earth yet and so believe that Jesus was not the Son of God but a messenger. @sstuddert The Bible has never been proven even the slightest bit wrong in over 2000 years. It states facts such as the earth is round and is suspended in space. Note that this was over 1300 years before man even thought other than the earth is flat. God has proven Himself to me time after time. He's saved my life countless times in near-death encounters. He's given me reason to live after pondering the idea of suicide. There are many reasons to believe in Him. You just have to look for them.

The Creation "myth" hasn't been proven wrong, the evolution theory has MANY faults. How He stopped me from suicide? I simply looked back at what His Word said, aka the Bible. He gives me reason to live. Biblical principles is what founded stuff like 'democracy and republics'. If you look back at history, whenever a nation followed Biblical principles, they flourished.

The United States was established from Biblical principles, prayed to God, He provided, and they won against the mighty British nation.

Cells are VERY complex, if you notice you have the nucleus and etc for the make-up of the cells. They are 'programmed' to do things that are VERY vital to allow the organism that it makes up to live. Leviticus 25, bondsemen/slaves were not like what we think of today as slaves and were not to be treated unfairly/unjustly. A closer correlation would be like today’s employer/employee relationship. They earned money and could actually become rich. They could buy their freedom or after a set time they could choose to remain or leave. If their master/employer treated them well, they stayed.

A Buddhist family can try to influence their children to Buddhism even going so far as threatening to disown them, but that doesn't mean that they can force their children to be Buddhist. You CHOOSE to believe what you believe and no one else can say otherwise. Also Atheism is the BELIEF that there is no deity. They BELIEVE that there are no deity or deities. If you are human you have a religion or belief.

Science CAN NOT establish truth or facts. So to say that religion IS an ideology is to go out of Established truth and Un-revealed truth. Therefore saying religion is an ideology is a THEORY and CAN NOT be proven to be true. Science can also NEVER prove moral judgements. These are basic limitations of science as we know it.

@sstuddert If you think that Christians threaten their own children with death, castration, disownment, and etc, you are wrong. We view an eternity in hell as part of the truth and punishment of what we have done. There is an option to obtain eternal life if you accept Jesus Christ. A GOOD Christian parent LETS their children decide, just because one 'Christian' parent may do these horrible things does NOT mean that other Christians do the same. Same thing goes for other religions.

@sstuddert Before you say "Allah IS God" you're wrong. To the Muslims Allah is "God", but not to Christians. They believe that the Messiah hasn't come to earth yet and so believe that Jesus was not the Son of God but a messenger. They believe that He was muslim while we as Christians believe that He was Jewish.

THOUSANDS of Christians die every day because of religious persecution. As for the religion causing people to go fly planes into buildings, that really only applies to Muslims. They believe that if they cause enough Chaos in the world then Allah will return to Earth, Allah's description fits the Christian "Anti-Christ".

If a Buddhist goes to the extremes and kills everyone that doesn't believe in the Buddhist religion does NOT mean that every other Buddhist will do the same. @sstuddert The Bible has never been proven even the slightest bit wrong in over 2000 years. It states facts such as the earth is round and is suspended in space. Note that this was over 1300 years before man even thought other than the earth is flat. God has proven Himself to me time after time. He's saved my life countless times in near-death encounters. He's given me reason to live after pondering the idea of suicide. There are many reasons to believe in Him. You just have to look for them.

The Creation "myth" hasn't been proven wrong, the evolution theory has MANY faults. How He stopped me from suicide? I simply looked back at what His Word said, aka the Bible. He gives me reason to live. Biblical principles is what founded stuff like 'democracy and republics'. If you look back at history, whenever a nation followed Biblical principles, they flourished.

Christopher Columbus, he wasn't perfect, but he thought of the idea that the Earth was round (Partially inspired by the Bible stating facts as the Earth is round and suspended in space). The United States was established from Biblical principles, prayed to God, He provided, and they won against the mighty British nation.

He's considered one the best presidents. Present day US, we will retain SOME Christian virtues as in the Constitution and etc. We're in a HUGE debt, trillions on trillions of dollars. We're teaching evolution as a fact in public schools. We're saying it's OK to have sex with others as long as there is protection, etc.

@KasasTheWarlock when you are three years old, your brain is still developing and you have only just begun to develop your abilities of reason, threats of disownment or an eternity of hell fire are psychologically destructive. Saying that this does not mean the child is being forced into a religion is like saying that by putting a gun to someone's head and threatening to castrate them if they don't pull the trigger, you're still giving them a choice.

@sstuddert Darwin himself said that if the cell was not as simple as he thought it was, the entire theory of evolution would fall flat. Cells are VERY complex, if you notice you have the nucleus and etc for the make-up of the cells. They are 'programmed' to do things that are VERY vital to allow the organism that it makes up to live. If the complex chemical reactions of blood clotting didn't work for us, if we got a simple paper cut we would bleed to death.
