@RandomSonicStuff No It wont work at all guy-manuel's helmet is more of a motorcycle helmet but id just recommend making it from scratch. I ended up with a 200$ piece of deformed crap My foam one looked much better.

i used a similar approach. Instead of using foam insulation, I used a skater helmet for the base of the helmet. I may try to use foam for my next project. You gave me an idea. thanks. BONDO FTW!!! sanding's a bitch btw. I took my Mark I proto to the Electric Daisy Carnival and people were coming up to me as if I was a celeb. It's fantastic to wear at a concert/rave or wherever there is a massive crowd. You'd be surprised to know how many people love robots. good work btw dude!!!

I'm not trying to make the helmet and claim it as my own. It's a passion project for me, the fun of building something by hand that resembles Thomas' helmet is the fun of it for me. When the project is complete I am going to be playing one charity show in it, then retiring it to a case in my studio. Bondo is a kind of fiberglass putty (almost). It is very hard to describe, but when working with it PLEASE use a mask/respirator and try not to touch it... I remember my first bondo experience, I was higher than a kite,and threw up all night... But it is just an extremely hard putty/Body filler! =)
