Impressive, but back in the early nineteen nineties Ben Rich, head of Lockheed Skunkworks said,
“We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity….. anything you can imagine we already know how to do.”
Nope, they have c-5's come though all the time for cargo and shit like that. I was stationed here from 04-07, and I know some people who were up here a long time ago and are still up here, never had ac-130's. All the 130's were 74- year planes. They have enroute planes coming in and out all the time, c-5, c-17, 747's, kc-10... you get the idea.
yeah i get it i doubt youd know my brother.. Dan hoffman he was a fireman i dont know what year he got out but im pretty sure he was still in in 04.. i loved up there except our hotel was in the flight path of elmondorf and i didnt know it at the time and at 7 in the morn the F-15s would blastin out ova the hotel
I can't say that I knew him. I love it up here, hell i'm back up here right now (TDY). I love the fact that the flight path is right near the hotel. i sleep through it every morning, i'm working 7pm-7am. I'm a flight line guy (fuel cell). Its great, but i haven't really heard any of the 22's flying (a lot quieter then the 15). it's great to be back up here.
i would think that the 22 would be kinda loud ive seen them here around eaa time but i couldnt really remember in comparison to the F-15 would you know if fairbanks is replacing there F-16s with the 22??
as far as i know they are not. the 16 is not getting replaced by the 22 (i know some bases are switching from 16's to 22's, but they are not replacing). the 16 won't be replaced till the 35 is up an running. the 22 isn't that loud, about the same if your right next to the plane, but as you get away from both of them, the 15 stays as loud while the 22 gets quieter
hmm i didnt know that.. lol i remember two years ago here in oshkosh during the eaa there was a surprise visit from 2 F-22s they basicaly did that sneak in get out tactic that the thunder birds do when they first got here, did there demo and landed
as a maintainer on the 22 at elmendorf i can assure you that it is . i have talked to multiple 22 and 15 pilots during exercises when they train with each other and we talk about it all the time.
The 22 has more thrust, but is much heavier. The 15 has a higher thrust to weight ratio, but it is said from various sources that the 22 still has better climb capabilities due to advances engine technology.
I remember a speech by the general who defeated Hitler who warned America of the great danger of the military-industrialist complex and that we should have no more weapons systems than was needed.
I also recall "fear" speeches by Curtis LeMay.
The fact is that America has created our own worst enemies. It was the CIA that armed, trained, financed and encouraged...Saddam, Osama, al Qaeda, & the Taliban. We also created some of the worst monsters and dictators that oppress their own people.
russians sent bear bombers near british airspace and our eurofighters scared them away....maybe they wanted us to scramble the typhoon to collect intelligence
My brother knows "someone" who told him that the russians about once a month charge the border with bombers. When they get close to the border we scramble our fighters and they turn around. Pretty scary stuff if you ask me.
im sure there is a illegal alien pilot in one of these jets, they work for less wages

fairbanks is keeping the 16 only a select few bases are getting the 35. once they see the 35 can live up to the 16 then all the 16s will be gone

is the f-15 more powerfull than the 22??
michalreddfan22 2 years ago
in some parts yes, in some parts no. they are both about the same in most respects.
kunsan12003 2 years ago
no it isnt..the 22 cruises at the 15's top speed. the 22 top speed is top secret but is the fastest and most powerful jet the usaf has.
fruhdaddy 2 years ago
i wouldn't say the 15's top speed...Most likely Mach 2.2 is the super cruising speed of the 22.
