Then today as I was wondering why these things happen, this song came on on an old mix I'd put together. At first I was going to skip over it, but I decided to let it play. And I just bawled. That message at the end? "You're not alone and you've got a home where you are loved and
you're the pride and joy." That message... That's God right there. And it hits you head on. Man. This song is just so heavy.
I also had a friend who took his life earlier this year, and I really wish he could have heard this. I wish he could have really heard it and knew that it was truth. This is the stuff that people need to hear.

i saw them in omaha, they are pretty cool, i tried hard not to cry, but i did because i had a friend who commited suicide a few years ago, and i don't really have anyone to tlak to about it, they made me realize it was easy to talk to people, thank you Rough Draft, you have really changed me, please come to nebraska

I love Rough Draft so much. They're just absolutely amazing and their music is so powerful. I saw them down in Florida on this LCMS trip with my church and their message just hit me head on. Unfortunately I live nowhere near them, so I can't exactly pop in for a show. Bummer. They're definitely one of my favorites.
I spent the weekend with them 2! they rock!!! I want the CD! I was about to get it, but I did not have enough money! this song is sad to! I had to leave the mini concert that they had on the last night there and they played this song, and I left the room crying. I have had a pritty hard life. I have lost my one and only bff for good and I am about to loos another! and now my grades r going from a's to f's! it sucks!

But it would have been really cool if at the very end when the kid was sitting on the step again, when he opened his arms this time the camera moved to show his bible open on the ground in front of him. Thats just what i think. You really did do a good job with this song, its one of Rough Draft's best ones.
