  • AWSOME! I have this album collecting dust in the closet - is there a way to magically transform it into an mp3? i haven't looked too hard - but can find it online anywhere. thanks for posting! and to that dream below - add confunkshun, gap and zapp bands, fatback...well, the list is endless.

  • I used to love this song but I think I brought the tapebut I know I brought it I had to save this song she was such a fly girl representing Detroit

  • I'm always on the late 60's and the 70's but some fly shit came out of the 80's too...

  • amazing track!!

  • this is the shit...stumbled over this downloading one of her songs incorrectly. glad 4 that mistake..lol

  • The legendary Jam & Lewis sound from Minneapolis!! this is the golden age of soulful funk, I miss the 80's, it had some powerful emotions in the music now long gone.

  • takes me back...way back!!! when music and attitudes were very different...love this cherrelle killer!!

  • Funny you say that SyB, when I listen to this track for some weird reason I can hear hints of the pebbles track girlfiernd even though the tempo's are different, maybe the accompaniments, nice track though, even if a little like Saturday Love.

  • Where oh where have my two favorite cousins (Cherelle & Peebles) gone???? Where's the music baby?? Instead we have Adam Lambert french kissing guys, nobody want to see that shit man, bring back the 80's.

Alex, Cherelle, Peebles, The Time, Col Abrams, etc.

    Sy-

  • Bad Ass Jam!

  • Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis PLEASE come back and bring back REAL music again!!!

  • Some good memories right here. Summer 1984.

  • This is one of my favorite tracks from her debut 1984 album (cd) titled "Fragile", the groove and bassline is so smooth and funky, with a nice melody, along with her soulful vocals, and after a quarter century, this still sounds as good as ever, grade A 80's R&B, definitely!!

  • Killing song totally in the style of the SOS Band, who also ruled that period. Everything about this production is totally clubby cool, with Cherelle really topping it of good!

  • You are so right on the money with that comment!!!

I just found out the lead female for SOS use to travel with Klimaxx when the lead singer wasn't available.

Now THATS something I would liked to have heard.

  • i can hear mary davis all over this. hahahaha!

  • man if i didnt buy the cassette back in the day i would have never heard this song nor the other jams jj and t lewis were spitting out back in the day...man o man were they the bomb

  • I bought this album on Boogie St in Singapor for $1 after Beruit. Will always be one of my favs!! BTW, I hated Singapor as a liberty port for all those Ol-Skoo Westpac salty dogs do you feel me?

  • the producers killed it...come back guys u r missed

  • i love this song ....specially when im drivin 2 philly

  • de Jam!

  • Fantastic Atmosphere! Every Chord JImmy Jam played was a hit ! That was my time and it's still my sound :-)

  • say whattttttttttttttttt? I like Human League and Don't you want me baby, but his song has a thousand times more soul and sensuality than anything Human LEague has ever done. :-)

Cherrelle, I jalopize for what this person said trying to compare you to Huma LEague.

Cherrelle, is the feeling still there? should we still remain boody callers? Or do you even care?

Sweet Daddy Long strokem! Happy New cheers!

  • This song sounds very similar to the song Human from Human League. Understandable because that song was also produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Love this song.

  • I'm playing this one for my girl Maria Teresa in Paris Francia. She is a young mans wish and an old mans dream. From her main man Giacomo Casanova.

  • this reminds me of my first teenage love- i didn't know what was going on but it was a good feeling...love that girl to this day- miss u bunny!!!

  • good

  • i cant say enough about this song....has the best rythym, chords, and bass line u will ever hear in a song. lewis and jam are the best producers of the 80's /90's(possibly all time) ....this song is absolutely sick as hell....now this is old school and its not being played on any of the so called old school stations..let the youngsters listen to this and lets compare it with that crap from today thats being deemed good

  • This is one of the most soulful songs I have ever heard. I first heard it in St. Louis back in 1988. I found it on YouTube just now after looking for decades. The tears are flowingggggg.

My rod is harder than times in 1939. she sounds so dam n good it makes you want to suck her daddys penis!!

Oh yeah! If it's all night, it feels all right. Long live Cherrelle! Pebbles cousin, but she sngs much better than Mercedes girl. :-)

  • yeah I do like 808 in the music but this era really worked it out. loose ends,5 star, 52nd street really used it well. jam and lewis was behind it as well as nick martelli so yeah tghe sound was pretty nice back then

  • I think you like the Roland TR-808 drummachine a lot !

  • i like that old roland drum machine

  • man this song is vintage. maybe not her most popular, but that SOS vibe in this song can always put it on top
