I am only on my second kindle and I dont care if they want to keep sending me free ones on my warranty thats fine with me. What makes me mad is the skins I bought at $25 a pop that will not peel off the buttons with out ripping. So if this kindle goes I wont be wasteing money on skins any more
You know, when one person calls me an asshole, I think it's them. When four people call me an asshole, I start to think maybe I am an asshole. So, if one breaks, it can be a factory issue or a fluke but when four break...dude, you are mistreating the shit out of it. My 1st gen Kindle is still working fine. Gave it to a family member when I got my new one last November which is still working great. Bottom line, take better care of your stuff.
I've had my kindle since december and just randomly I went to go wake up my kindle and it has a bunch of lines on the screens and some of the picture that was on it while it was in sleep mode. I've tried eveything and amazonsupport isn't helping much any ideas on what I can do?

@cantares1 I like your theory. I came to the same conclusion, and as such have been charging the fifth one from my computer since day 1 and haven't had many issues (4 crashes total). Who knows if that's it or if it's unrelated, but better safe than sorry.

The cases have been fixed now :). The not lighted cases have gold coloured prongs rather than the black

i got a 3rd kindle because of its fragileness. right now im SUPER protective of my kindle. i mean the nintendo DS is better than the kindle.
here are two things to NOT do to your kindle.
1. let your sister step on it
2. leave down the basement next to your t.v. for 2 days
