Core Design, why did you die? You were the only good thing to come out of Derby!!!! Please get a collection going and reform, damn you!!!!!!! I'll be your biggest donator, I swear!!!!!!
I think the switch over water they're referring to is one in the earlier City of Vilcabamba; they should've used it there instead of here, as here it's a collapsible floor over a wolf den.
You know what's funny, a lot of people including me thought that Qualopec's tomb was the last level in the game, then we find out that there's a lot more to it, and that kind of gives us a relief of that disappointed feeling.
ma fave level. In TR1 the Tomb Of Qualopec is so beautiful, it has awesome colours and the traps are fantastic. In TRA EVERY LEVEL is so stupid, easy, sad and the ambiences are UGLY. Im so sad 2 see a classic changed in a game like this. Goodbye, (classic) Lara. We'll never see you again. T.T
I agree completely with you. Lara Croft will never be the same. Tomb Raider was much better in the hands of Core Design. Tomb Raider Anniversary made a lot of fun of the original Tomb Raider. I will never forgive Crystal Dynamics for that.
@lkjkorn19 Ahah, I'll tell you what it is. They got mixed up in the commentary. It's the bit with the lever above the collapsable floor that drops you into the wolf pit. They must have gotten mixed up with the falling into the river bit in the lost valley.
Ha! That part of Tomb of Qualopec was cruel! When I first played it, I thought, "Yay! This switch is gonna be easy!" Then I fell through the floor and thought, "Maybe not..." LOL
lol. Notice how the designer's talk about Lara falling in water in TR1, but I don't know... lol.. there is a spot where she also drops straight in combat so I don't really get it. Also they didn't have to say a lot about the level, which is disappointing, I would have liked to hear about the main/central place, as it's pretty different.
I noticed when they said about the water. I've seen vids of the old Tomb of Qualopec level in TR1 and she never fell straight into water. And you're right; they should've said more about the actual level.

It was the last level I could reach on the sega
after many years I finally could finish it, then be amazed by the continuation
as for the video, I wish they'd have spoken about the actual tomb with qualopec!

Yeah, it's really odd. Also I quickly looked up a TR1 walkthrough and did a search on water and didn't find anything, either. lol.
