No mother should have to bury her child. I feel for her. That is the hardest thing she will ever have to go through but I'm glad they have something to lean on to, their faith to hold on to.
What a beautiful family. I first fell in love with Cinderella and then hearing their story and watching their faith and honesty gives me power to deal with things in my own life. Their story has helped me and many others I am sure.
Faith is living with the questions..what a profound thing Steven said. His daughter Emily also said that grief is like a winding road-stretches of joy and insight and curves of intense pain(storms) We will all see lost loved ones again. What a day that will be!!
That really hit me hard when Mary Beth said that she sometimes just thinks to herself that she doesn't care who has been helped or inspired by their family's story, and that all she wants is to have Maria back. That speaks volumes and shows that yes, they are a family of tremendous faith, but they are also real, like all of us, working through the pain every single day. Their three grown children seem like amazing young people. It just goes to show how much we need faith at times like this.
This family gives me such inspiration, i cannot even explain it! Very strong people but there faith has made them this way! God is faithful and it's ok to have many questions when tragidty hits!!!! Thats all a part of growing closer to HIM... Praying for this family and always remembering Maria Sue~ May God always be with them abd help them to move forward in every step they take~
Oh my goodness, how would you feel if you were the son that hit her? I would not be able to live with myself. I feel so bad for the whole family, especially him. Rest in peace Maria Chapman ♥
The Chapman Family is in this storm of Grief stay above the clouds over the storm in the arms of Jesus. Looking down you see the storm, but stay there with him tell the storm clears.
What a beautiful and blessed family!!!! Surely God has very special plans for all of them. Their tremendous faith, hope, and love is an inspiration to all of us. I will keep them all in my prayers, especially Will who surely has an extra special mission in this life.
The Chapman's are an inspiration of hope and faith in times of grief for us all, and just knowing with faith that we'll one day be reuinited with our lost loved ones is enough to carry us through our grief and to carry on for all those who remain behind in strength, hope, faith, and love. God Be with you Chapman's and God Bless Maria AND Will Franklin... may you find peace in your hearts and souls. My prayers and heart go out to you all.
@allybanndini He's told the story many times, including on Youtube. He was rushing the girls through bath/bed time when they wanted him to play. After they were in bed he went to write songs and felt God reminding him that while he was feeling sad because Emily was engaged now and would be leaving, he was too busy to play with the little ones he had left, and how they'd be grown all too soon too and he'd miss them. Mary Beth also talks of it in her book.
@sdacj wrong. he has NOT said is MANY times, and NOT ON YOUTUBE! i just searched everything about it on bing/google/youtube/myvideo..corma.com/askandillanswer.coome and not ONE of those have said WHAT the song is REALLY about
@allybanndini Try the youtube videos titled "Steven Curtis Chapman Cinderella Music Video and Story", "Steven Curtis Chapman: Story Behind the Song Cinderella" or "Cinderella - Tribute to Maria Sue Chapman (2003 - 2008). And not every word he ever utters is on search engines - he tells the story in concert, in blogs and twitters, in print, etc. and none of these are necessarily on the internet. The first time I heard it was from him in concert, and also in articles about him or by him.
That is so sad I feel bad that's just heartbreaking :( -3
