They definitely were the best ting about this show (apart from Lord Zed and occasionally Rita) although I forgot how willing they were to beat up chicks. Still...I suppose they get their comeuppance. They were also some of the most naturalistic. It always looked and sounded to me like the power rangers, in human and power ranger form, were badly reading their lines off screen or inside their visors. With bulk and skull they actually seemed like proper characters.

Bulk and skull are probably the greatest friends in history. While the rangers were a team and they all had fun saving the world and saying a sentence one after another these guys really showed kids how great a single friendship can be. In the new power rangers(they're samurai) bulk is hanging out with skulls kid who calls him "uncle Bulk". they actually consider each other family!!!

If everyone had a friendship half as good as bulk and skull did, people would be a lot happier.

That's because the show was written by deluded hacks who had no ideas other than "there's going to be kung fu in this". If you see the original pilot, they start a friggin' brawl in a bowling alley. As a bunch of teenagers. Which is a bit more accurate, albeit less tasteful. They got better because even though the show was written by hacks, the character naturally developed over time with repeated use, and even a hack might hit upon something every once in a while. Even if they don't get it
