  • Mexico! I'm vacationing right now in Grand Cayman Island, so we're closer than you think! :) Singing is like athletics to me, because it gets your whole body involved, relaxes you, and makes you feel good. I think that most people can sing. In addition to diaphragm control, there is how to get the sound to travel into the sinus cavities, and not just stay in the mouth. Those are the basic two areas I have been learning. Doing those two things well can produce surprisingly positive results.

  • @singheadvoice oh, thank you for this comment, its ..... I hope you know Spanish

Agradezco que me enseñes lo que es la tecnica para cantar, y sobre todo lo del canto con diafragma. Una pregunta, ¿Es cierto que llenando el estomago con aire y apretando puedo sostener mas tiempo una nota?

  • @brujoa Yes, I understand your Spanish, I think. You're asking if diaphragm control will allow you to hold a note longer. I think it does, because you let the air escape from your lungs more slowly that way. The diaphragm technique slows the return of the diaphragm to the shape of an upward arc, which is what happens when you push the air out quickly. The technique is good for controlled expiration of air, which allows you both to hold a note longer and to achieve the high notes better.

  • are you american? It's hard to learn a "Romance" (Roman language, like spanish, italian, etc.) But, if study to sing, you can hit those notes ;)

    Saludos

  • @brujoa Hi! No, I'm not American, but Canadian. I speak French quite well, studied Latin, and sort of understand Spanish. My third best language, however, is Russian. I can speak some of other languages as well, such as German and Japanese. Hitting the high notes is about making yourself nice and round around the mid-section, to gain diaphragm support, and relaxing otherwise. I'm hardly a master at diaphragm control, but I'm gradually getting the idea.

  • @singheadvoice yes, but is easy to a Latin(An latinamerican or european latins) to speak those languages.

I really hope that can ever know how to sing well, this year I will enroll in a school song, because I love opera but I have to start from scratch. I have 17 years and I think the time I reached to see you sing. Greetings from mexico
