Andrew is going to be fantastic. Toby was good but he can't cry to save his life. Those scenes are painful to watch - instead he looks like he is about to laugh. I like Toby but I think Andrew will be amazing.

@206whatsup there are many different versions of spiderman by many different writers with many different storylines and different comics. They're not going back in time, they're just using a different version of spiderman. The directors know what they're doing, spiderman reboot is taking the original comic (the first comic) and turning it into a movie.
To be honest, I didn't really like Toby as Spider-man. He was too Michael Cera like for me. Spider-man's supposed to be a smart-ass and joker when he's Spider-man. All the problems really come from being Peter Parker. Spider-man is not as quiet.
how can there be a prequel to spiderman, showing us peter parkers life in high school. he can't have been spiderman because we see him get his powers in spiderman 1. he wasn't spiderman before spiderman 1, so how can they make a prequel! they are completely changing the story!
We don't need another Spiderman remake yet. I understand that Marvel wants to unite their entire universe (as they're doing with the 'Avengers' thing.) But the 'old' Spiderman movies were made just years ago! Looks like we'll be seing a Fantastic 4 remake as well...

tobey wasn't an awful peter parker but he wasn't a good one either if your a fan of the comic books then you know a few things 1 he has to be real one of the most likable traits of peter is that he is one of the most average super heroes that everyone can easily relate to he's a normal person not a billionaire or alien hes a young adult who deals with death, rent and heartache 2 he has a sense of humor one of the funniest masked crusaders around and 3 he isn't a push over after getting his power
@Sububababa It a reboot. They're remaking the movies like the comics. The lizard is the first villain, Gwen Stacy's in it instead of Mary Jane, and Spider-man's still in highschool. It's based right out of the original comics. Trut me, if your a real Spider-man fan and not just a fan of the original movies, it will most likely be what we wanted originally. Not that the Raimi's films weren't excellent. They just weren't the comic book movies I Imagined.

To be honest, I didn't really like Toby as Spider-man. He was too Michael Cera like for me. Spider-man's supposed to be a smart-ass and joker when he's Spider-man. All the problems really come from being Peter Parker. Spider-man is not as quiet.

how can there be a prequel to spiderman, showing us peter parkers life in high school. he can't have been spiderman because we see him get his powers in spiderman 1. he wasn't spiderman before spiderman 1, so how can they make a prequel! they are completely changing the story!

We don't need another Spiderman remake yet. I understand that Marvel wants to unite their entire universe (as they're doing with the 'Avengers' thing.) But the 'old' Spiderman movies were made just years ago! Looks like we'll be seing a Fantastic 4 remake as well...

and last but not least his sense of responsibility he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and we see it in every story as one of his most admirable traits tobey didn't fit the bill he wasn't funny and he was a complete pushover plus they screwed up venom which is something ill never forgive but this kid doesn't look like he will make a good peter ether hes to .... preppy doesn't look like he can play a strong emotional roll they got him for his appeal to girls

tobey wasn't an awful peter parker but he wasn't a good one either if your a fan of the comic books then you know a few things 1 he has to be real one of the most likable traits of peter is that he is one of the most average super heroes that everyone can easily relate to he's a normal person not a billionaire or alien hes a young adult who deals with death, rent and heartache 2 he has a sense of humor one of the funniest masked crusaders around and 3 he isn't a push over after getting his power

@Sububababa It a reboot. They're remaking the movies like the comics. The lizard is the first villain, Gwen Stacy's in it instead of Mary Jane, and Spider-man's still in highschool. It's based right out of the original comics. Trut me, if your a real Spider-man fan and not just a fan of the original movies, it will most likely be what we wanted originally. Not that the Raimi's films weren't excellent. They just weren't the comic book movies I Imagined.

@MelanicDisaster Yeah I like the idea of going along with the comics. I just have mixed emotions because I got attached to Tobey as Spider-man.. I wish they had done it right the first time so there wouldn't have to be a recast and all that :/ But I still think this movie will be great!

Come on folks. The first movie Spider-man dealt with how the hero came into being. Spider-man was nothing until Peter Parker was bitten by the spider. Beginning of story.
