  • Interesting...but not something i would eat...my mom always freaks out with raw eggs...it kinda got drilled into me lol

  • that looks yummy... i wonder if regular rice would work if i steamed it...

  • 1. You didn't wash the rice

    2. The Volume of water should be equal to the volume of rice, or a bit more....but not too much.

  • Haha cooking without dog xDD Good one xD

  • Perhaps you should get a dog?

  • @rustensa i have one... but her breath smells and would put me off eating anything :)

  • Looks great! I prefer to not beat the eggs before though.. It's prettier that way to me. :P

  • 3 things..

nr 1 ) at 2:28 are you making Crème brûlé??

nr 2) I've never seen someone abuse a kitchen like that.. GET THE RIGHT KITCHEN SUPPLIES! Jeez

  • @Mangafairy lol, uncle bens has an orange box... too lol. but seriously... invest in a rice cooker kk. the rice is so much better.

  • @nickloveskangin I'm honestly a bit poor at lol, boiling is fine (I may remake this video, none of it was well done... maybe I will teah about placing boiling water over the shell to kill salmonella and washing it) i didn't do that in this :/ ...

  • aaahhh cooking without the dog the pun LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL

  • ew.

  • you should try using steamed rice. It would would work a lot better since its dryer than your porridge looking rice. Plus you add the soy sauce after the egg is mixed into the rice. That is how i eat. The egg will coat the rice better and cook it alot better :)

  • you need to learn how to cook rice >.>

  • Ah, this seems to be a botched version of a dish very similar to this! The concept is the same, with cooked rice as a start. However, the "raw" egg doesn't end up raw at all. Use only the egg yolk (separate and toss the white), and stir it in. The rice, assuming it's hot, will actually cook the egg in the bowl. Then typically a little soy, ginger, and sesame seed oil is added to taste. The nori by practice isn't stirred in, use the full sheets and make rolls with the rice-egg-seasoning combo. :)

  • Nah, it's defo raw and both parts :) That part I remember

  • Looked both unsanitary and inexperienced. I'm not convinced. :/

  • i tried it, it was actually really good, but just the thought of the fact that it was a raw egg made me ont wanna eat it

  • This looks really good. I'm a bit unsure about the raw egg but I'm going to give it a shot sometime anyway!

  • have u been to japan :) lol yr hot

  • i just thought, this could be used in a bento coudnt it?

  • no, i wouldnt, warm egg and rice alone are pretty hazourdous. so don't mix them and leave it to eat room temperature and non-fresh.

  • alright. . . i will

  • tell me how you find it, my friend said it really isnt 4 everyone, i guess it's like marmite for japanese people ;)

  • i said it wouldnt :)

  • what does that taste like. . . it looks alittle gross but i want some

  • erm... its just like a thick sauce... it doesnt taste at all like egg to me XD its good, just make a small batch and try it!

  • Ive never watched anyone cook on youtube before.. very cool video:)

  • Wait, is that raw egg in there? Isn't that kind of.....unhealthy/hazardous?

  • ya, but the risk is pretty low if they are good eggs and if the person is very healthy.. you more likely to get it if you have a weak immune system ..

  • fresher eggs it's not so bad but some people can get ill, although it's pretty common in japan and they do it on french pizza a lot :)

  • mmm yum french pizza!!! lol

  • you can get decent eggs that have been 'heat treated' or sumthing like that, they are almost imposible to get salminela (how ever its spelt) from them
