"Well clearly God is trying to tell us that we cannot have sex with both men and women, we pick one and stick with it." Do you mean at the same time or separately? Your personal interpretation of the Bible's quote exalts you from sinning as a homosexual, but that same interpretation throws bisexuals in the fire as sinners. Could you maybe explain this more to me? I'm trying to understand your perception of that quote from the Bible.
@LZ11271978 BIsexuals are on their own, biblically speaking. In modern terms, a bisexual will only run afoul of the law when they tend toward their homosexual side and not their heterosexual side. So essentially, I wonder at the need, in these times, to self identify as bisexual. No one is keeping them from marrying the opposite gender, just the same gender.
@msbuch72 But you make it sound like you're turning your back on bisexuals, they are in the same boat as we homosexuals, being deprived from what they are attracted to, trying tying to be denied their human rights based on what they are attracted to. It's no more fair to bisexual when even though they like a guy at the time, they can't lie with him without being seen as a sin, or if a bisexual is in love with a guy, cannot marry him.
@LZ11271978 You make it sound like bisexuals can at any time choose to be with a girl and thus make them immune to what homosexuals deal with, but that is basically just a bisexual forcing himself to pretend to live a straight life style, avoiding the men he is also attracted to. Which is like a homosexual pretending to be straight to avoid discrimination.
@LZ11271978 I don't make it sound like that. That is what it is. That is the very definition of being bisexual, is it not? To be sexually attracted to both genders? My point is that when it comes time for the law to protect their relationship, it is only the homosexual relationship that is not protected.
@LZ11271978 When bisexuals are engaged in homosexuality, I am COMPLETELY on their side. When they engage in heterosexuality, they don't need my help or anyone else's. They've got the law on their side.
@msbuch72 Very well then, but can you explain how you understand the quote in the Bible outlawing homosexuality? Because the way you said it, and maybe its just me, it seemed like you believe men lying with men isn't a sin, but men lying with both men and women is? which would mean you, a homosexual, would believe that bisexuality is a sin and homosexuality is not. Please help me understand this? I've been looking at all your vids all night and this is the first time I think I might disagree.
@LZ11271978 The bible doesn't make any sense to me. I can't very well make it make sense to someone else. Besides, I was just engaging in the ridiculous practice of reading the bible literally. And when I look at it with that intention, it does seem to say to me that switching back and forth between men and women would not please an Old Testament God. Lucky for me, and bisexuals, I don't believe in an Old Testament God.
@msbuch72 Oh okay thats all cool I was just trying to understand this video that's all, I've been going through all of them all night and I admire your determination in defending the rights of homosexuals. There really are no justifiable reasons to deny homosexuals of their human rights, we are asking for equality not supremacy, but somehow people see wanting to be on equal terms as an attack on society's values. An "attack"... I also admire your patience with these kind of people, lol.
@LZ11271978 Yeah, clearly not my best video. But I thought I would take a crack at a literal interpretation that might send some fundamentalists into a tizzy. At the end of the day, we shouldn't be relying on ancient writings to understand biology.
