What do you have to click on to get it so that all your sreens are on a cube? and get to turn the screens around , if that makes sense. And also so that you can see all the screens so it is in a cirlce type thing. BTW i am only asking all this as i am new to all this, so would be great if you ould help.

once this is done right click on desktop and go to compiz settings -activate the effects and you can also mess with fn ctrl & right, left down up.. and for cube use the mouse.
good luck - it's quite easy just go step by step in my instructions
i have 1.5 GB of ram, and the whole system takes about 300 Mb.
I never experienced lag. and these features are really helpful to do research on the web, writing a text and consulting an other one at the same time. i will try to monitor the ram usage. but linux don't use much ram at all.
i bought this comp about 10 months ago, acer used to sell a version with linux called linpus lite. you can probably search a place to download the linux that used to come with the aspire one. the drivers for sound usb,etc comes in the linpus lite package. check out my other linux vids :)
Wow you got amazing graphic with that. I tried these at bestbuy and found them too be too slow to watch youtube. But then again I was on windows. I wonder if watch youtube on any os would make any difference
the computer is really good, just change the tiny windows for a good version of windows, and youtube videos will play nicely. also this linux version is really fast at loading web data, and youtube vids...
i didnt do any research on that but there is probably some way to start it at login. go search on : aspire one user forum. (google it and sign in to search the website).
but i saw that compiz , seem to slow a bit my video chat transfers with skype, that's the only reason i dont put it at start ups, also it's not suggested to start it when you opent VIRTUAL BOX, wich i use to run windows XP from the linux environment. - go search for it with macles on google. : )!
hey, thanks for all comments guys, nice switch redrop, hope you like the speed of linux, you guys can also have a look at virtual box, its a windows environment, in linux, for our acers. i didnt do much with wine ;S
I installed Linpus, enabled advanced mode, changed the wallpaper, enabled compiz, created a button to switch between normal linpus desktop and acer style linpus, installed VLC media player, Tux paint and firefox 3... awesome!! :-)
Nice post. Looks and handles verry good. I intend to buy an AAO this christmas and I'd love to have cube on my too. I'm not used with Linux interface. Could u post some details on how can I get and install this cube on Linpus that come with AAO, please?
Wow, does it seriously have to be this much of a pain in the ass? :/ I'm so thankful for the help but seriously, just wow.
