  • @epsilos You have the same chance of getting a straight or higher pair than pocket 4's with both AJ suited and AK of suit however AJ Suited has a better chance at a flush

  • They make these easier than they need to be sometimes. JT offsuit is actually a better hand against 44 than AK suited is, yet they show JT suited and AK offsuit.

  • nope, its just a statistic. the 4 has the same chance of showing up as a 7 but atleast the seven is a higher kicker.

  • lol actually your the 'fucking stupid' one. ace 4 is better in that situation since it has two cards to a straight. ace 7 one has one card to a straight. against pocket 10s, both hands have equal chance of hitting an ace, also have equal chance of hitting trips with the 4 or 7 kicker. so in this case ace 4 is better because of a straight. know odds before you make yourself look dumb.

  • Ok, to clarify, I told you to get a life because you got mad over a comment someone made over the internet, not because your slow at commenting. 2. Youtube is my homepage I see responses everytime I access the internet which is a lot since I make my living off of the internet. Calling something stupid wasn't meant to offend you, I didn't really analyze the hand, I don't play poker professionally or anything so I don't know much of it I'm just starting to get into it.   • why is 10 J better than big slick against the pair of fours? is there another reason other than it being suited? (as i didn't think suitedness raises the odds that much, as stated in a previous tip by phil)

  • 10 J are two overcards as well as A K are to overcards when your opponent holds 44. So its the same whether you hit your T or J as you hit your A or K.

    But with TJs you have better straight probabilities, as well as better flush probabilities (because they are suited).

  • Actually, the TJ is better because if you hit an ace with AK, you're giving your opponent a card for the low straight. Hitting a T or J doesn't help them.

  • Okay, so AK vs 44. Flop comes out A23. I'm in the lead with my pair of aces, but guess what, my opponent just picked up a straight draw. Any 5 and he wins. If we had J10 vs 44 and the flop was J23, He only has a backdoor straight draw (three to the straight versus four). Make sense?

  • Also with JT you can get an open-ended straight both ways (KQJT or JT98), whereas with AK you can only have a gutshot straight.
