@scouserdan3 Do it everyday morning , afternoon and night ! Like brushing your teeth ;) after a month you will see the changes. And try to go slowly when you do it. If you feel a bit a pain in the muscle it's normal ! But if it's like hurting you bad then you should stop. Try to stretch like 30mins . Hope that helped you .

My spinning hook kick for my left leg is perfect, but i try so hard to improve it with my right leg, and every time i throw the kick my leg doesnt go all the way through, it stops half way, and its hard for me to drag my right leg parallel to the ground, but my left leg is so much easier, pleeeeeeeease help me!!!

i notice ur leg (superb form btw) kinda look like it snaps in retract ur leg a lil bit after the kick has made contact , i kno in regular kicks u would perform the snap after ur knee has been raised past the point of the target for extra power n was wondering do this kick follow the same principle
@Aiifaelfadam How is your recovery after the kick? Are you returning to your fighting stance? It appears you need to work on your return to a proper fighting stance rather than focussing on the actual strike of the kick. Listen from 8:10 of the video as well.

@HayzeRagex After the initial spin,your upper body will be leaning & facing away from your opponent, and be out of the way of most of your opponents strikes. After that, it is not as important to keep your guard up until your foot has passed your target. Once the foot passes the target, your upper body begins to turn and face the opponent again and put you back in range of his strikes. That is why it is important that you begin to bring your guard back up after your foot passes the target.
Do you have to be flexible for this? Of course flexible is relative, if so, how long did you take to throw this kick perfectly (flexibility required + technique)?
You know everytime I see this kick in either a tournament or the olympics..

@kwonkicker good for balance, both physical and mental. i do my best to keep both. you should try running while holding you breath. great for lung capacity, hard as hell, but an awesome adrenaline rush is sure to follow :) also, i run on multiple terrains, such as dry sand, ice, snow, slopes, mountains, forests and urban environments. snow by far in boots is the hardest terrain, mostly because you have to judge where it might give out. nice tut

Train slow, but focus on technique and break bad habits because as you do this it not only becomes memory and reflex, you also can throw it proper and have your kicks look like normal speed in slow mo like him

Best Taekwondo kicking tutorials on the net by far. Could you do a 540 round kick tutorial? Mine keeps ending in a tornado kick landing with both feet at the same time. Any tips on how to keep my knee up?
again, i wish i had this two years ago. on a side note, you kick the plastic part of your training bag?? even with my feet/instep protectors i feel like that would kill me. elbows and forearms are already painful enough.
my favorit kick ever, the spining hook, hard to perform but so powerfull. Indeed, this one is better than the original, good you decide to make a new one, how about the 540 spining hook kick? the on you've done were good but it need to be more detailled.
also I have a hard time kicking with my right leg, it is sloppy and a cant get it as high, compared to my left leg I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to (drills, stretches etc.) to help with this problem
@Jonesie501 i hav the same problem but wat i do is just practice BASIC kicks with the leg i dont use as well and i hav been seeing some improvement but kwonkicker might hav something better but still hope i helped at least a little bit peace out bro =)

Kicking Arts like Tae Kwon Do must have it's own way to avoid the grapling and tackle . The Asian Martial Arts are very for 1000 years so they must have invent the methods or strategies to defeat grapplers with kicking . It just something we didn't look back or forget about it .

@Romus011 hahaha.i have 7 years of taekwondo behind me,and let me tell you this.I never meet any taekwondo exponent that can deal with any situation with just kicks.thats why taekwondo also have hand strikes ,joint locks and throws.if you want to throw kicks at very close range,its inefficient and useless.yeah,its the strongest weapon,but it also has its drawback.its less accurate.remember,martial arts dont come as revelations.you seem to think martial art is perfect

You know , some old grandmasters , even they train for 40-50 or their whole life they say that still not fully understand the one art . And who are you to claim that ? You think those elders are more stupid than you ? That's why even they are old they are still train the art .

@khairuleven How come you say kick are inaccurate ? Go to see Master Kang Shin Chul in Human Weapon , he can kick the cigaratte that student holding in his mouth . His feet hit it directly without touching his student mouth .
Beauty of Kicking Art must be maintained forever . I am sure there are still millions of people who want to see it and have faith in it .

@khairuleven You better not belittle the ancient people's wisdom , yes , Easterners . Beside , why people always thing of Martial Arts just only in real combat and sport ? Don't they realize that Martial Arts is also " Arts " with beautiful techniques . Like Tae Kwon Do , Beautiful Art of Kicking is also the world cutural heritage . Not let the blood sport like MMA to SWALLOW the traditional arts like Kicking . That why it's has Poomse , Karate has Kata , Wu Shu has pattern performance

@khairuleven and Muay Thai also has Wai Kru ( even it's just a traditional dance ) . Without , the beauty of Arts , Martial Arts will be nothing BUT Violance and Savage . They are Cultural Heritage and even Beliefs . The application or new style of Kata or Poomse is Kicking Performance like in Musical Kata or Extreme Martial Arts . People are narrowmind and blind enough to ignore and insult the Beautiful of Kicking . It's NOT always about the ultility or combat it's more than that .

I really like that "sneak behind the guard" part with pointing your foot. That's awesome, because this will work on boxers or MMA ect. Instead of just taekwondo fighters.

Best Taekwondo kicking tutorials on the net by far. Could you do a 540 round kick tutorial? Mine keeps ending in a tornado kick landing with both feet at the same time. Any tips on how to keep my knee up?

again, i wish i had this two years ago. on a side note, you kick the plastic part of your training bag?? even with my feet/instep protectors i feel like that would kill me. elbows and forearms are already painful enough.

my favorit kick ever, the spining hook, hard to perform but so powerfull. Indeed, this one is better than the original, good you decide to make a new one, how about the 540 spining hook kick? the on you've done were good but it need to be more detailled.

also I have a hard time kicking with my right leg, it is sloppy and a cant get it as high, compared to my left leg I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to (drills, stretches etc.) to help with this problem

@Jonesie501 i hav the same problem but wat i do is just practice BASIC kicks with the leg i dont use as well and i hav been seeing some improvement but kwonkicker might hav something better but still hope i helped at least a little bit peace out bro =)
