@36predator wtf? Mk is a button masher, you can use the 'counter system' and the wheel system:

Attacks > Throws

Throws > Counters

Counters > Attacks

Do you see any of these systems in MK? nope you just spam fireballs and its just a button mashers game compared to Tekken and DOA . There is no skill at all involved in MK -_-

Only joking, KOF stands for King Of Fighters, while kof mi2 is King Of Fighters Maximum Impact 2 ( Although it is called King Of Fighters 2006 in some countries, I think ) A majority of KOF games are 2d, but the Maximum Impact series is 3d.

you know its kind of funny how the top fighting games (street fighter and tekken) both are not very good. But DOA which is kind of the underdog is so much better. Just because a games older doesn't mean its better. And team ninja most likely spends more time figuring out the best boob mechanics then the fighting itself. But its still better in every way.

Yes, the background seems almost flawless, but the character's skin looks like plastic, and soulcalibur 4 graphics with the character's skin tone looks a lot better, dead or alive 4 did come out in the year 05 the same year the 360 came out, and almost every games graphics dosnt look so much better when its one of the first to be releast on a certain console. Still, wish they started making DOA4 in 08,couse they would of had more ways and techniqes to have better graphis. I hope they make a DOA5

I wish I could get this game, but I've got a PS3. From the little DOA I've played(not 4, I think it was 2 or 3), I prefer it to Soul Calibur in some ways. I believe there is a version of DOA2 for the PS2 which I could get. Has anyone here played it, and how is it?

I have it for PS2 and it's really good. the graphics of course aren't that great, but the game play is solid. I got it for 10 dollars, and you should for sure get your hands on it.

Although I do agree that tekken 6 is something to watch out for, what people always seem to forget is this: DOA 4 seemed better simply because it was newer so it was able to utilize the next gen engines. Tekken dr still used the old ps2 tekken 5 graphics and engine. Tekken 6 had plenty of time to fully utilize the ps3's blue ray 1080p graphics and high end engines so yeah it's going to seem better but by now doa4 is old so it isn't fair to compare. I am a big fighter fan so I like them all.

i use to own the doa on the saga dreamcast v fighter and doa is the same doa is just a little bit faster but dont have very indepth story like tekken though and alot of charactors why isnt this out for ps3 tekken 6 is out for xbox 360 and its was only on the ps its confusing WHY!!! at least for downloadable game on the psn they should let it be on the ps3 too since tekken 6 is coming for xbox 360 no disrespect to the 360 though fair choices would be nice

tekken is no match for doa 4. tekkens fighting feels very unnatural...the moves are very simple...the strikes are basic...idk maybe its just me but when you play doa 4, its full of energy and speed. a sense of rush, the moves feel more natural and the game flows. soul calibur and doa 4 are 2 great fighters though.tekken...hmm...its ok i guess.

I like both game equally but tekken is more advanced. First off you have one of the biggest command lists in the game. so you can't say it's simple. Every character has a huge command list so I don't understand where this "simple" idea comes from. Dead or alive works. I like it, it's fun and it's style is different from tekken. The system is actually simpler then tekken because of the button layout and small move list. The boss is the hardest though making tekken 5's boss look like a push over.

Simple as in its just hit hit hit hit, find another way to hit, hit. DOA4 has a simpler system and smaller command list but it makes you utilize ALL the moves more frequently.. in tekken 6 you'll have like 10 moves on each character you havent used before. To me DOA4 is a game where if you'll be able to fight very good with most of the characters. And Tekken you would be better off choosing one character and mastering it. Which doesnt mean you use him all the time, but for your important fights

If your a noob then yes your argument is valid. Tekken actualy forces you to know everyones moves at high level gameplay to servive. The whole point of huge command lists is to have different styles and more strategy. You have a linited amount of attacks and it is too easy to become predictable. Thats where doa's counters come in. Like I said they are both good games with different styles. Tekken is just more complex.

Majority of the world have other things to do than become a tekken expert, the creators would rather appeal to a large audience than make a good game for a couple hundred thousand tekken heads. And having less moves doesnt make you less predictable, at the end of the day if they hit you once, they'll hit you until the combo is over. The various combo's you do just make it look better, and vary in damage, thats all.

They made a physics engine just to animate the breasts. Who the hell does that...epic win...epic win XD.

And also. the game is pretty solid gameplay wise. It's not inovative in most cases (it did implement a couple of things), but for the most part, its a good solid game.

Tekken vs. DoA

I play both. I originally started with Tekken, but as soon as i played DoA... Bam, Tekken = Major Failure in comparison. Tekken is has a wayyy slower pace than DoA. Tekkens moves are simple and easy to make combos with, hello... button mash, seeing as DoA takes wayy more skill. There arent any counters in Tekken, and the throws are very limited, anywhoozer, DoA = destroys Tekken completely, and who gives about the girls being "slutty", give it up and dont focus on it, duh...

Soul Calibur games are better than either DOA or Tekken, and believe me, I do like both. Soul Calibur IV especially is perhaps the finest fighting game I've played maybe since Street Fighter II or maybe ever.

(Shame SCIV doesn't have Survival mode anymore, though)

DOA's combat system is easier to get into, but MUCH harder to master.
