Larry had a double-neck custom guitar made by the Mosrite company, just like his mentor Joe Maphis. There's some great videos on YouTube of the two of them jamming together on classic 50's shows.
This and "Love Bait" are really cruel stuff. Man o ma! I have about 4 LP's with them. "Hurricane" is an unbelivable instrumental Larry do with Joe Maphis. Must be heard to be belived. Long live RnRoll!
Great rockabilly tune! And she is absolutely gorgeous! Love the close-ups of the photos. Wish I could pull a Michael J.Fox and go back in time to the 50's (sigh). Thanks for this video and great pix!

Lorrie was hotter than a murder weapon and Larry took a back seat to no one in the chops department. This song gives me chills.

yeah, I watched every week and went there when I could get a ride, and she was a big part of it. Easy to see why she was Ricky Nelson's girlfriend.

kind of a strange song to do with your brother...
i also suppose that it wasn't a hit because it was a controversy back then.

Mercy, Mercy, me, that Lorrie was one gorgeous woman! Oh, yeah, and her little brother could sure play the guitar too.

I don't understand why Mercy wasn't a hit. It was a good, solid song, and Lorrie was the ultimate beauty in my book.
