  • you guys give the ZOOM H2 more justice than ANTHRAX did in their promo video.

  • the bass drum is barely picked up at all..can the zoom h2 be configured to pick it up better? (i know nothing about recording and am thinking about buying one of these)

  • Wow, This is great for just a box in a room. Think I'll get one to record practices and song writing. Best thing on Earth is playing something without thinking and someone going, "wait! Do that again!" when you can't even remember what you played and no matter HOW MUCH you try you'll never get the riff back. Which is confirmed by the person saying, "Nooo... the bit AFTER that." then "No! Before THAT bit... it kind of goes like... *insert atonal, yet passionate, humming*" -_-

  • What about the h4n I want to record drums in a tiny room what's the best setup with tight budget

  • is it just me or does chis' snare sound bad in this video

  • I found the ad of this with the guys on it in my guitar world magazine, now I have that ad on my wall. Can you say cheap new poster

  • 0:36 he missed the cymbal, but yet the sound was normal.

  • @asxetos666 check out his right hand, it hits what looks to be a splash

  • @flippytheleper I don't think he hit the splash, because a splash doesn't sound like that. What I think is that they played the song on multiple takes and they edit the video so much... the audio could be from a separate take.

  • hour glass my favorite lamb of god song

  • hey....somebody please tell the one who pressed the dislike button that chuck norris is looking for him....

  • @battoflitsa123 chuck norris doesn't do push ups, hes TOO OLD.

  • this is a load of crap, my band is no where as loud as LOG and the H2 would distort at points through our songs, so I sold it. I spent considerable time trying to get a good result, got advice from the forums, tech support, but still was unsuccessful. and we only have moderate size solid state amps and a quiet drummer.

  • I love my H2!

  • so the sound we are hearing is coming from the mic, nothing else? im confused

  • @TheChrisdpbradley

i think it's just one zoom h2 in 360 degree panorama mode

  • is this a good recorder for a band whos just starting out? and can u record everything at once?

  • @penguiana as you just saw they recorded the track while playing together

  • AMAZING SOUND BRO!!!!!!!!

  • nice to have around when jamming, but it didn't quite capture the bass drums and maybe it's the video compression, but it sounds a bit too low quality for a dedicated recording device.

  • @ImperialArmour Dedicated, no. But useful for quick jam sessions/people starting out who doesn't have a lot money for a professional recording studio, yes.

  • @ImperialArmour you can record in almost everything from 128 mp3 to 96khz/24bit, which is more than you need with a handy recorder. I use it to track vocals and it works fine. You get a pretty crisp sound from it.

  • John look´s Funny

  • @HohoCreampie hes a wee fattie, ive seen them live a few weeks ago

  • I'm going to see them in two weeks in munich - I'm excited as fuck!!

  • yeah dued its going to be a sick ass show I just saw them a few months ago in NY with metallica, and LoG stole the show hands down, and I love metallica

  • does anybody know if lamb of god is doin another dvd in support of the new wrath album like they have for previous albums?

  • probably not,

that album wasn't as good as the previous 2.

    but maybe

  • yes, they just started their own headlining tour, and with their own fans their, they will do another DVD!

  • They are doing a documentary style one.

  • JAbernathy937DC ur such a fuckin jew cuz LOG is not death metal they are thrash heavy metal with a bit of groove metal

  • Read again.

He's asking what it sounds like recording Death Metal, since he's already heard how it sounds with LoG and Shadows Fall.

Not that LoG's playing Death Metal.

  • Dude ur such a loser, no one cares what genre they are, but if u want a genre its metal. People who pick bands over genres are absolute losers nd posers.

  • @Someguitarplayer1 haha what a geek.

  • @pakismyname hahaha, thanks?

  • @thuulgaar hoooo!!!! and this is so fucking important why???? i hate ignorant fucks like you.....metal is metal period

  • I ordered one, and it will be here on Monday. I plan on taking it down to the jam sheds here in Everett, WA to see how loud it can really handle. Ill let you know. (Lots of metal bands at the sheds)

  • i would not really recommend it for taking to shows & recording bands mate, if your doing that you really need to be taking a recording straight from the mix on the sound desk.

its a great recorder for use in a closed room when your jamming out ideas in a band, you can get Very good quality recordings with experimentation.

  • @highwooddrums

Does it also work well with vocals? I'd be interested in using it so you can review rehearsals, cause I'm going in with my band for an EP recording session and I'd like to make sure we're up to scratch. An old school pro-musician friend of mine said recording rehearsals was really great for working on the material and making sure everything is on par.

  • wtf Cambell s doing there? Ж)

  • what about playing bass??????? he is their bassplayer dude

  • шi mean they liketo play duet

  • this thing looks fucking KILLER

me and my buddies jam metal and really want to record some shit, Im prettty sure this is what we fucking Neeed!.

    Any opinions??

  • man sounds like this would be good to record drums with

  • Where is mark morton?

  • they arent playing hourglass at soni :(

  • oh god why arn't they playing it

  • NNNOOOO! :(

  • It's one of their bigger songs and one of my favorites. Hourglass

  • how the fuck can you not know this song and be a lamb of god fan?

  • Dude...its Hourglass

They just changed it; made it shorter for the promo vid that you are watching.

Great to play on guitar =D

  • does willie adler ever smile? he looks so grumpy in guitar magazine pics nd stuff =/

  • YA he does smile

  • are u kiddin? He's the "clown" of the group! According to their dvd..

  • who

  • Wille!

  • He smiles all the time, when you're playing an instrument your facial expressions are the last thing you're thinking about, until you think about them

  • aye but i'm talkin bout stuff like photo shoots and videos, not live performances...maybe i dont look up enough lamb of god but still, if the chilis taught us anything its that smiles are easy to do :P

  • Ah but Chilis music has different vibes to Lamb of God songs. Those pics are all 'we mean business' pics, Chilis would be more like 'We're fun!' and stuff. Its the bands persona.

  • "...untill you think about them"....that sums it up perfectly, and its also the worst and most pointless thing you can be thinking about when playing!

  • @sofaking29 lol its true everyone tells my when i play my bass my mouth hangs open and i zone out on my left hand.

  • he is concentrating on playing well. plus would you smile if you played dark music like Lamb of God. Do you ever see metal guys smile a lot, no.

  • Does anyone know if one of these would be good for recording a concert. I'm going to see Lamb of God soon and I'd like to have my own bootleg. Also would the Zoom H4 make much of a difference over the H2? Thanks for any help!

  • zoom h2 = good for recording ideas by yourself and with band so you can work them into songs and not forget anything.

zoom h4 = good for recording low quality demos to give out at shows and spread your bands music.

  • probably should of turned down frequency first to pick up chris's kicks.

    SICKKKK quality though!

  • i love the way chris adler's drums sound. His snare is like a jackhammer. too bad you can't hear bass drums.....

  • i cannot hear the double bass, which is a shame cuz the double bass in this song kicks SO much ass.

  • can i also plug my guitar in the H2?

or does it sound good if i put it in front of my amp and record, or would it be too noisy?

    (sorry for my english)

  • english is fine man, i dont own an H2, but have been watching tons of videos about it...i dont think you can plug it into the H2, but the audio quality will be fine from the amp, besides, using the amp allows you to keep your effects and stuff.

  • k, thanks :)

  • wait so they got this quality without even plugging in? is this actually for real like could my band get this quality?

  • yea, i have the H4 and its amazing

  • thats rediculous! i gotta get my hands on it how much was it?

  • mine was $400.00 for the H4, the H2 (which is in this video) is $180.00, good luck!

  • Yeah definetly. Use it for full band or single instrument, good all the way.

Check out my clip with H2. Seperate instruments recorded by H2.

  • Dont use too much distortion on the amp or flang, theres a lot of feedback

  • thnx unsure if im gonna svae up for it tho

  • make sure you experiment where you place the mic i usaully like the center with drums and the the amps equal distance then i upload the mp3 file to my pc then put it in mixpad and put a 10 band eq to it and it has big balls!

  • great rehearsal hourglass right i think so right it dosent matter great rehearsal

  • cool. got any more footage of the jam?

  • Love these guys, that was killer
