The ultimate level bottom line is this, at 4:13 mitch voice goes to a whole different level, surpassing Peter Cetera. Anyway this is a great song, my favorite part is after the 4:13 mark, the music and Marvin snaps off. Even though this is not the original live up, they maintained the Commissioned. When Fred took the over the direction of the group on Number 7, you heard more bass and funk. When Mitch took the on the leadership of the group, you heard more melodic souunds. Outstanding!!!

This song brought my father back to Christ.. he was dealing with a lot in 1996 and the would get upset if I played gospel music in the car! He heard this song one day on the way home from work and he went and bought the tape. He recommitted his life to God that year and never looked back! This song also helped me to get closer to God when I moved back to San Diego in 1996. I think this CD came out in 97 and my now ex wife had joined a wonderful church and my son had just been born. My focus was totally different and this song helped me transition to a deeper relationship with God and helped me to begin to focus on my ministry.

More than other FAVS: Jodeci Winans SOS Band Earth Wind and Fire Gap Band Guy Dru Hill Commissioned over shadows ALL because Commissioned were so consistant. Commissioned created GREAT ALBUMS of MUSIC from the late 80's into the new Millennium. Commissioned U R THE BEST!

Not just that 'alzon490' a lot of the groups stole bits and pieces of Commissioned's songs. Example given? In Jodeci's song "I'm Still Waiting" at the end they say "..my arms are open wide and you don't have to cry no more." This came directly from Commissioned's "Running Back To You" but they changed the original which said "Your arms are open wide, and I don't have to cry no more". It's funny cuz I've found their lyrics in about 12 of R.Kelly's songs and about 20 other peoples songs.
