That is amazing, you sent chills up my spine. I have been looking at learning the lap steel guitar and i always think im probably too old to pick it up now (36years old) but when i here music like yours it inspires me to learn. Do you have any tips on what sort of guitar, amp to start out on. I dont think there is too many lap steel teachers here in Australia so what kind of dvd or books should i look for. Keep up the good work
Thanks! The tuning on this one is open-D, and I use fingerpicks (have more or less stopped using them for electric lap steel since then, but still use them on acoustic). :-)

One of the FEW guitar players in the world whose playing was so soulful it gave me goosebumps.
To borrow a quote from Carl Verheyen, Steinar was a "A genuinely nice guy and you could hear it in his fingers" !

Hey Steinar, sounding good, like your work man. Hopefully one day we can jam together at the great gig in the sky. Subscribed.

Beautiful!!! I want to hear more.
What tuning are you using? Do you use finger picks? It appears that you do not. In any case, your tone is inspiring.
