  • I wonder if sheldon cooper could beat him.

  • what the... ! o_O

  • stupid rules, not getting any sense

  • Thumbs Up if Yu Nakajima Rocks!!!

  • good !

  • それはあなたのガールフレンド?

  • i can do that

  • he was using petrus right?

  • @73HNiNJ4 Fridrich

  • lol the big didnt do shit XD

  • Did i see syuhei omura in the last solve

  • Do you like gokkun?

  • Very sharp!

  • wow...hes great!

  • So, anytime you have messed up Rubik's Cube, come down to Mr. Nakaji1084's block and he'll fix it for you! ;)

Or he may come to your house to do it.

  • why do they cover the cube before the solving?

  • @axcvbh some weird rule back in the day. they took it off the list now.

  • @ToiletDuck88 No, they didn't... They still cover the cube before inspection time, and it's not a weird rule at all, it's to make the competition fair.

  • @dslayer415 I understand why they have to cover it before inspection. What I'm talking about is the one after inspection, right before you start the solve.

  • @ToiletDuck88 Oh wow, I was being stupid, sorry, That.... Does not make any sense... Ancient Japanese Tradition? Hahaha

  • so they dont plan there moves early

  • no what wait did i just saw some 1 do what THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE NOOOOOOOOOO

  • why they put a bag in the rubiks?

  • they cover the cube with a paper bag

    POVERTY!!!

  • nope, that's the mean of 5, the average it's without counting the best and worst times

  • WTF!!!!????!!!!

  • lol at 4th rubik's cube when u were solving it one guy said hayai not sure if thats how u spell it but i heard it MANY times like MANY and im POSITIVE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT MEANS FAST

  • i wonder why im watching this shit i never had a rubik cube

  • then dont watch it

  • Nakajima-kun daijobu daijobu xD

  • what was with that bag thing?

  • ummm i think its to cover the cube after the inspection time,if it were to be left there without being covered, the cuber can still see the cube and visualised the moves needed so it wont be fair.

  • @xboxlocky11 It's to cover the cube as the solver is not allowed to look at the cube until inspection time.

  • cool

  • yeah sorry to say the math is wrong.

  • no, you take out the best and worst times and average the other 3.

    :]

  • dude, the average is 12.228?

is this a national competition, check the math.

    WTF?

  • You eliminate the best and worst times in this sport, which are marked by parenthesis.

  • yeah, i also computed the solves..

  • @bongidyl000 jajaja the best and the worst are eliminated

  • @bongidyl000 youre right :???

  • @bongidyl000 Man you should realy do you homework before commenting. There is a reason why they put "()" on 10.46 and 16.69. When you take an average of 5 in Rubik's Cube then you remove both the fastest and the slowest time, so then you should only take 12.56, 10.72 and 10.71, witch makes an average of 11.33, just like the video states.

  • 1)copy&paste

    2)post on 2 diff vids

    3)Hold your breath

    4)look at your hands

  • omg fucking freaks

  • Is he the god of Rubiks Cube ?

    I mean so

  • Pretty much.

  • im sucking... I cant effing remember the 63 algorithms for friedrich

  • you can search on 2-look oll and 2-look pll and that is only 13 alg together so it is a easyer fridrich method try that=)

  • @narutodabein 78*

    Learn one at a time

I thought the same way when i started out, but learn the 2 Looks first, then itll rly get fun, and then you will learn the rest. Its not that much. Seriously, other methods have 800+ algs.

  • my hero

  • Sic..

  • why do the judges use the bag?

  • its because they only have certain amount of time to look at it

  • and I thought I was smart by getting a rubik's cube done in an hour n 30 minutes :X

  • You are.

Now go learn tactics for shaving off time.

    And then learn fingertricks.

    And then maybe simple Fridrich.

    And then advanced Fridrich.

And then practice to get sub-20. :P

  • Comment removed

  • XD my comment got a -1

Anyways sub-20 means below 20 seconds.

    "sub" = "under"

Something like sub-1 can mean below 1 second, but usually below 1 minute. It depends on what you're talking about.

  • what are you talking about?

    and who's 'they'?

He didn't know the scramble, this was an official competition, and everyone got the same scrambles in the same order.

    lol debunked

  • 12.228?

  • in a ruiks cube average, you take away the best and worst times, then do an average of the remaining 3

  • After starting off with a bad 16.69, I bet Yu never expected it to be the start of his WR average.

  • In cubing u do as i said.

  • XD lol

  • no, u take the best time and the worst time away and then count the avg.

  • no...you add all five times then divide by 5 then thats ur averge

  • He's right, in this sport you eliminate the best and the worst.

  • why does the people put a bag over it before they go?

  • the average is 12.23 isn't it O_o

  • It's a trimmed average (average of the middle 3 times).

  • oh okay ^_^ thanks for the correction

  • lol couldnt find the first solving vid...too bad cuz its the worst one...idc, i cant even get the f2l in 16 seconds probably XD

  • OMG! Erik just broke this!

  • really holy shit! CAN YOU GIVE ME LINK TO A VIDEO OF IT PLSPLS

  • /watch?v=id2xtbfVbn8

  • thx a lot!

  • NOT ANYMORE!!! ERIK CRUSHED IT WITH AN AMAZING 11.11 average!! i guess ull have to settle for 2nd now, but im sure u can break that 11.11 if you tryed too! cant wait till one of you top cubers breaks a 11 sec average. anyway ur still one of the best!! :)

  • Wow...Fridrich is amazing. He must've memorized full F2L, OLL, and PLL to get that fast. I only know intuitive F2L and 2-step OLL/PLL and my times suck, like 40 seconds. I think it's my F2L that needs work...

  • 132IOWNALL321: ya no kiddin, i didnt feel like learning all the f2l crap so i made my own f2l...some of which happen to be the same algs for the fridrich one but watever..lol sometimes i take like a 3 step oll haha

  • That's...intuitive F2L.

  • i looked that up mines different than that...i always put the corner flipped in correctly...that version half the time both corner and edge pieces on sometimes in the top layer...mines different

  • You're telling me how you execute intuitive F2L...any kind of completion of the first two layers without the memorization of third-party algorithms is considered intuitive F2L.

  • ooOOOOoo NICE nevermind haha

  • Wait... I don't get it. Why are the faster solves ranked lower? O.o

  • they aren't... they are just in order.

  • wts the secret behind tht super fast solve???

  • Lots of Practice

  • Dude rickflip23, you seriously need to calm down about this. It's just a hobby that people enjoy. You might enjoy a hobby that you're really good at and I doubt anybody tells you to "GO COOMIT SUICIDE". Anyways, awesome solves. And by the way, learn to spell.

  • Agreed

  • don mega

  • @rickflip23 Noob retard...

  • @rickflip23 Why should he?

  • what method does he use?

    i wanna learn it...

  • Fridrich. Duh. There's nothing better. Really. NEVER QUESTION IT.

  • well roux is pretty good

    and mgls

  • ... I don't know what mgls is, but every record holder since 1990 uses Fridrich. Nakajima is no exception.

  • petrus FTW

  • X-cross 2-slots MGLS FTW!

  • Can't he got the WR in the 2nd round, and then went on to get the exact same time, the WR, in the final round.

  • this video is real cause i know how to build it and hes hands is just fast but the procedure is the same unlike other videos that said 6 seconds or something they only move side they dont move the middle so its like fake but this one is real

  • OMG .. he's good

  • what was the last perm ?

  • A counter clockwise

  • well actually he did it 6:58 in another of his videos =] so up yours dude

  • this isnt how fast you solve it... it was his record for average of 5... not speed.

  • dang

im almost exactly twice as slow.

i usually get 20 or 19 second times

  • he shakes his head when he get more then 12

  • if i got 12 seconds...ill nod until my head falls off or something...lol...=D

  • wow! that last permutation was done literally in 1 second.

  • accept the fact that he is indeed fast!!! youre great man!!

  • I'm sorry to ruin this and I might be wrong but adding this together and dividing by 5 gives 12.228 and not 11.33

  • sorry to burst your bubble, but you have to take off the best and worst times and do that average.

  • What is that bag for?

  • so that he can't see it

  • Can't see what? He inspected it already.

  • yeah so he can't see the cube cause he's already had 15 sec of inspection or whatever the number is

  • TOO INTENSE MAN TOO INTENSE!!!

    Mad!

  • wow, nakaji has very great speed

  • He smoked everyone in that competition.

  • great :)

  • I'm asian, and I still think it might be the rice... or maybe the rice balls.

  • Forget the Asians...ITS THE RICE! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • Damn Asians and their rice...

  • omg..

  • it's intersting how he uses U, U', or U2 right after he places his cross pieces

  • sorry, meant u, u', or u2

  • it's an awesome strategy. I use it a little, but I'm not great at it. getting better though!

  • omg that's crazy i suck at the rubiks cube i got it mixed up and now can't put it together! lol

  • the last solve could have been a sub10..

  • cool

  • It would be faster if he didn't screw up the first solve.

  • whats a store cube?

  • its just an ordinary cube bought at stores.just open and play

  • No it's a DIY cube. They are very hard to find in stores, so you have to order them.

  • Damn he uses a store cube? No wonder he never pops.

  • no he uses a rubik's diy

  • wha is the method u used ?

  • jessica fridrich method.

  • it is not WR

  • it WAS geez

  • LMFAO

  • wow, 3 10s? thats crazy. :P

  • hey, you always cut the vids, we want to see other peoples reaction while you were making history you know...

  • It looks like the last layer is twisted on the 5th solve. Why wasn't there a 2 second penalty??

  • Less than 45 Degree oriented if fine.

  • wait...45 degrees is the maximum that it can be misaligned. so if what you are saying is true, then any misalignment is acceptable (other then exactly 45 degrees.)

  • misalign from the Correct side of course . i thought maybe you are smart enough to know that. which also means if the is one more U to turn. Does that make it completed? NOOOOO

  • lol

  • cccccccccccccccccccccccooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllll i wont to be this guy so bad

  • This man lives and breathes Rubik's Cubes.

  • u rock man!!!...ur my idol!!!...

  • what happened on the first solve? got too nervous? xD

  • lol 10.72 and 10.71 whew so consistent!!

  • wow! nice job nakajima! did u make all these videos from the 100 osaka clips on speedcubing?

  • lol it says that its a rubiks DIY in the description, btw you are the fastest rubiks cube solver ever!

  • WOW!!! u got the world record!!!!! ill be sure to buy the records book this year^^

  • it wont say unless its a guiness

  • amazing even though you always look dispointed if they are pass sub 10s

  • Fantastic job! keep it up

  • congrats

  • Amazing!

And you're shaking your head at the 12.56 solve... you're no longer satisfied with solves that aren't sub-11?

    Haha, wow. Just amazing.
