  • So scary looking!!!

  • Thats a big wolf like dog!

  • hi, we have owned german shepherds all our life and 1 border collie, we do have a german shepherd x malamute but she is a lot more like a german shepherd and looks like 1, i was just wondering are these breeds harder to look after and train than a german shepherd?, can they go off lead and come back? will they jump fences?, and are they only ok with pets and children they are brouht up with?, we don't want to get one untill we know more about them, please write back, thanks

  • if they are good with cats and wouldn't mind living with a bullmastiff i would love one!

  • "Little guys"?? o_O

  • Lol. Please forgive the bad writing! I have flu! :-)

  • Arrr. R.I.P Indy. :-( I love wolves and dogs. But whether he is the most wolflike DOG or not, still does 't hiee the fact that Utonagans are extrordinary, and this one is absolutly beautiful. :-( I yave been looking into getting a Utonagan fot quite some time. Could you please tell me, where this Angel come from?

  • Just bought a 3month old puppy and I have to say the film is accurate. The dog is remarkably intelligent and sociable compared with other breeds I've owned. And they are indeed beautiful. If you are a responsible and committed owner they I would recommend this dog so long as it will not be left alone for long periods in which case it and your home may suffer.

  • Where to get them from ?

  • haha its huge

  • Are these available in the US? I've been searching for a wolf-lookalike for quite some time, but I've never been able to find breeders in my country. :(

    They're gorgeous.

  • where can i get one...?!?! i want one

  • how much are dogs like these?

  • R.I.P Indie xxx

  • amazing dogs, nice video

  • R.I.P Indie! (The star of the Video)

  • i just took on a rescue called Herry such a gorgeous dog looks very much like a wolf clever so n so can open doors and windows and closes fridge to

  • I have a Utonagan, her name is Tozi she is very intelagent...she can open doors and windows, she looks more wolf like then this one though

  • It doesn't look much like a wolf. Make a utonagan-wolf hybrid!

  • What a gorgeous dog :)

I have already made the decision to adopt rescue dogs only, but that animal is so lovely looking I would definately be jealous of anyone that owns one, I just want to hug it :)

  • I don't think these dogs look like a wolf at all. My dog is said to be a siberian husky german shepherd cross and looks more like a wolf than that dog.

  • @stonedXsolja

they all look very different. some look like wolfs, other more like german shepards.

  • I persoanly prefer Utonagans from Sarloo wolfhounds and czech wolfdogs, but its my opinion.

  • i think they would look better without the curled tail like the malamute the tail spoiled that dog personal opinion

  • Are there any breeders in the US?

  • I personally have two of these dogs. Stunning, inteligent, fantastic nature (especially around children) and yes they do swim!!

  • hate that womans voice at the beginning

  • Thats my voice, I do sound a little robot-like, I know .

  • ah fuck, sorry :(

  • Thats quite alright, it was hard to record with the Flu. But hey. Its not my usual voice :P

  • You have to see Czechoslovakian Wolfdog

  • so wats the difference between the northern inuit and the utonagan?

  • in response to Nitz543's question - yes they are vocal! well mine is - i like to think hes talking back to me!! couldnt say about swimming hes not been in the water

  • I love these animals...they're great dogs and someday I'd like to own one, hopefully they become easier to obtain as time passes.

Are they as vocal as Huskies and Malamutes?...How are they at swimming?

  • That may be true for one particular utonagan... but I know for a fact this does NOT apply to the majority of the breed. For example, Indie, the ute in this video happily gives up toys and bones on command. There is a video on youtube as proof.

  • I've had a utonagan for a while and also have a border collie. These are lovely dogs with no aggression, a lovely personality and loves learning new things. He also gets on with my other dog great and is a registered pets as therapy dog. So i disagree with ponty pig

  • I fell in love with Utonagans the first time I saw them because wolves are my favorite animal and now there's a dog that is bred to look exactly like a wolf but is legal to obtain.

  • ok these dogs look cool but does anyone know how they behave, please respond it would be apreaciated

  • they are lovely natured, there really is no side to them at all. they DO NOT get aggressive if you take something off them. the ONLY setback can be their destructive behaviour if left alone for periods of time, they get bored and chew on stuff. Utonagan are also used as Pets As Therapy dogs, taken to nursing homes and hospitals as "friendly visitors"

the best idea is to have another dog to keep him company as just like most other dogs, they thrive from eachothers company

  • Fantastic video...I'm sat with the star now! He is fantastic and a credit to the wonderful breed!

  • I WANT ONE!!
