Even if it's socially beneficial for all, I would be loosing profits, and that's bad buisness. Imagine if hemp was now legal for full industrial use. The lumber, cotton, synthetic fiber, and oil industries would all suffer since they would now be in competition with emerging hemp industries that could potentially replace their demand, Especially for lumber and oil.
