  • only if Cali had street food benders like this, i wouldn't be salivating right now.

  • are you from thailand user3115?

"DONT COME HERE IF YOU DON'T LIKE OUR FOODS"!!

  • obviuosly they hate on philippines because they wish they were a pinoy....its okay, say all bad things....it just shows how jealous you are ..LOL

  • Lmfaoo Your American accent made me laugh! But I like the vid :D

  • Youtube is an international arena where people of different cultures supposed to share their thoughts and feeling to promote greater harmony. Each and every word we part to other viewers is a big responsibility, and words once said it's impact for most of us is hard to fathom. To the parties involve in this forum about Filipino food....There are valid reasons to both sides, but one important matter was missed "Diplomacy". Be responsible with your words.....(",)

  • hmmmmmmm and what is good food for you? cheeseburgers, french fries? why single out filipino food? or its vegetables and fruits? coming back to the Philippines often, wonder what or where you ve been eating, there good and bad things in every culture, but why are you singling out the Philippines? there are a lot of bad things in your home country as well, why not start fixing it first before you criticize other cultures

  • @MrAngelbogs You wrote: "@user3115 You deserve it well!!! If you were less arrogant and more sensitive in your words.. people might even thank you for your

  • @user3115 what if ill say some bad things bout your country,... what would you feel huh?..

Man, we have the right to speak but each act has its own limitations. . please learn how to respect others.

lets see, there are about a hundred million people in the philippines and your only one. if you wont cut your tongue now then, they will do it.

  • @ncsbq Im actually quite health conscious, thus my angst when going to the Philippines. There's a clear lack of healthy fresh food. I wish it was more available. But admittedly, and oddly, if you go outside Manila, food tens to become fresher and a bit better. Into the provinces and smaller cities.

  • @user3115 obviously you have never been to the better part of Manila where we have world class restaurants which offer fine dining. that should also be taken into consideration before coming up with a shallow & narrow minded statements. I suggest you bring more money so you can afford to wine & dine in the upclass part of Manila.

  • Wow...i used to go here a lot when i lived in Seoul, i miss it. I now reside in Belgium and there's nothing like it here! Can you believe all the Filipinos that congragate there every Sunday esp. at the church, i swear i thought i was in the Philippines for minute...if you find yourself in Seoul, make sure to make a stop here to get some real filipino cooking. Also look for my friend, JayAnn, she's Australian/Filipino, i lost her contact info...hehe, shes there every Sunday!

  • hmm, nice, i kinda feel hungry now.

  • PROUD TO BE FILIPINO... yes alot of korean students in Philippines, bacause they study good quality english there.. and we have so many delicious food..i LOVE panset palabok ang Lumpia!

  • @user3115 are you sir filipino?:) if not, please do not say things that you are not yet too sure off, filipino is a small country, but it has a wide variety of culture.:)

  • @oyong2095 Im very aware of filipino food.. have lived their for more than a year... Im just speaking the truth.

  • @user3115 you must be kidding me..

people like you tend to be very envious of filipinos.

so if you have nothing good to say, just shut it. :)

  • @dyanjennica09 WTF??? Im not envious.... don't make this personal.. Im not here to bash Filipinos. Im just speaking the honest truth.

  • @user3115 Sir, how about western fast foods, they seems to be much worse than filipino food. Obesity seems to be a big problem in UK, USA, NZ and Canada and other western countries...(",)

  • @ChefBitoy --- One would think so.. but it's not. Filipino food is far saltier and greasier.. there is Filipino food that's not so greasy or salty.. but the vast majority is... Filipinos tend to eat alot of white rice.. a huge heaping servings worth.. with very salty/greasy style veggies and/or meats. That's just the reality.

  • @user3115 I like your honesty and you are right in some point. Filipino food are saltier and greasy to western palate just as most Asian food are, I know that very well since my wife is German, but I disagree on what you said that Filipino food are of lower quality. Sir that I find a bit unfair... :(

  • @ChefBitoy - " Filipino food are saltier and greasy to western palate just as most Asian food are " >> completely untrue. Name an Asian cultural food that's salty & greasy? japanese? NO. Chinese? some. Korean? No. Thai? NO. Indonesian? No. Only Filipino.. FOR SURE. "Lower of quality", very true... one can say that Soul food is lower in quality because they use alot of fat from the pork.. Nothing personal, but Filipino food is lower in quality -- more fat.. more greese.. more salt

  • lower quality ingredients. The Philippines exports their best fruits, vegetables, & meats overseas, & keeps the lower quality for themselves. This is the reality of this 3rd world country. Go to the Philippines 1st hand & you'll see what Im talking about.. Im speaking from experience not heresay.. dont get me wrong.. you can find some quality food.. but its not the norm. Compare this to Thai food... HUGE difference. Thailand's food is absolutely delicious... and its abundant...

  • @user3115 Have you ever think about sausages which is full of fats? Did you ever think about GMO's and carcinogenic additive in western fast foods? .. I think you are talking about personal opinion which I say it is your right. But for us your opinion is not honesty it is simply an arrogant and conceited attitude of a person like you... Yes it is personal to most of us... and I wonder if you had a very bad experience in Manila... Did somebody kick your butt there because of your attitude?

  • @MrAngelbogs > Nice job spamming my profile.. shows the REAL YOU. Im not trying to make this personal, obviously you have an insecurity complex about whoever you are. So what if Filipino food isn't so good. There's bad things about every culture. Accept it. I've been to Philippines many times and go often. The sad thing is... the food isn't very good. Just the TRUTH.

  • @user3115 You deserve it well!!! If you were less arrogant and more sensitive in your words.. people might even thank you for your

"as a matter of fact" criticism... they were right, if you have nothing to say nice...just keep your mouth shut and keep your opinion to yourself!

  • @user3115 haters gonna hate

  • if the girls wants to marry me i would cook her any flip food she wants *happy face :) *

  • anyong gaseo! im hungry now...kamsanida.....there are lots of koreans in the phils. and ice to see some pinoys in seoul...why cant we have one asia just like one europe....the european union! we can all help each other financially...we can begin by having one currency...im not an economist but i think asians should get together and support each other.....lets build bridges ....okinawa?

  • You have a point, i agree... I love the Philippines, and im very proud to be a filipino, i just hope the filipinos backhome will realize , we are so rich in culture, maybe , we should start in our country first , then... our asian neighbors

  • yeah... I agree too... If we're like the EUROPEAN UNION... We can have one currency and have a stable economy... right? So... no more peso, won, ringgit etc. etc.. If european union have "EURO"... Why don't we name our asian currency as "ASIO" (haha I know... that doesn't sound right) :P

  • wow. i think we all agree. that there needs to be a bigger and stronger effort made to spread the culture of the philippines, especially through the food. if you are filipino send this idea out, this is to say, keep in mind that we as filipinos should keep the culture alive in an "ever-westernizing" world.

  • I had my eye on the cuchinta (1:42 and 3:13). Steamed cassava root cakes garnished with shredded coconut meat. I had to sample a few before I really came to appreciate it. It's sweetened with sugar- sometimes brown sugar- and it's texture comes from adding a little lye water just as you would do for a pretzel. Yum!

  • wow sweet!!

  • Hey there! Great video, very informative. I am filipino myself, but I haven't been back to my home country since I was 6 so I've missed out on a lot. However, ironically, I will be taking a trip to South Korea before hitting my own country. I love Korea and it's nice to know that I can get a little taste of Manila life there.

  • Great stuff! Although I havent been in that particular area in Seoul, I met Filipinos who cooked for me and my friends while I was stationed in Korea back in 96.

It's nice to know that in every corner of the world you are not far from a delicious adobo or pancit...yummy.
