@BNLH24 did'nt he just say there are people doing more than one of those a second!? how many do you think you have to do! I sugest for a beginner like 2 reps of 50.
i wasnt gonna watch at first because he dosent look like a trainer or lets say a built trainer anyway but i said wat the hell, and this guy just took me to school on squats. not that i dont know how to do them, but he is a beast when it comes to it. has a good form and continues to use it through the whole video.
Let eyes have a focal point on the ground ahead of you. In this case perhaps looks at a point were the floor meets the wall. This is the only mistake i see the inructor do. He looks straight ahead of him.
Often when I do squats, I move my weight to my toes, not my heels. It seems like when I do that, I am using my calf muscles more than I should. Is it really important to keep my weight on my heels the whole time?
The reason I want to make sure is that it is much easier to keep my balance when I have my weight on my toes, but if that is incorrect I would not want to do it that way.
You need to lean more towards your toes. Don't lean all the way or you'll fall forward, just focus on keeping your feet completely flat and even on the floor.
nice explanation. thank god for people like you who give proper infomation rather than the 'act lyk u sit n chare. ts a squat' idiots all over the internet.
@lego153 Well. I'm no pro, infact I'm a noob ^^ first time watching the video.. but i assume, and right me if im wrong, since he says ur leggs r gnna be dead, you need to do as many as u physically can endure?^^
i started doing squats like 1 month ago n i do them pretty much everyday i do 40 a day is that 2 much or 2 lil??? n r there any other moves that wud help shapen the butt and thighs :D
thats to much if you want to make your butt bigger and round it. to much time on squats can be very negative and if your doing them right you should see results in two weeks
You can never do too many air squats, just like you can never do too many pullups or pushups. These are bodyweight exercises. Some of the workouts in our gym call for 300 bw squats (not all at once, of course, but in one workout). It's also not uncommon for catch wrestlers to warmup with 300-500 air squats, and that's just a warmup.
Top Video. I think this is the only video who describes a proper full squat. Excellent work :)
Especially the part about Hip flexors being parallel with the knees. Most of the people do half squat and they think that the bottom of the glutes should be parallel to the knees.
is it just me or did it look like he was half dead at the end of the video..

In the beginning it can be useful to turn your toes upwards. In this way u will get the right balance after just a few reps.

these good for trimming thighs?
psokid15 2 years ago
No, these are good for building muscle.. by trimming I assume you mean fat loss? That comes with a proper diet, cardio and weights.

Calves are really what you jump with but essentially if you work your lower body your vertical should increase look into it a bit more.

and what parts of your lower body do the squats work out?
mihawk1 3 years ago
basically squats are good to tone up your butt, the upper part of your legs and lower abs.
