Before I seen this video, I heard the song first. When I thought about the music video and how it would probably look, I actually pictured a dance group or something; the song sounded like a tearing up the club type song anyhow. But yeah, I love the song. The music video isn't really bad at all; (but like mostly everyone else) it could've been better In my opinion. Love it otherwise. =) "Liked"
i always liked this song on its own, not just for the movie, so a performance video is a-okay with me =) they look like they had a lot of fun. thanks for sharing!
@airgearbleachfan If you're a troll, you're a terrible one. In no way is this music scene/emo. I hear it as industrial, and I also don't see how you think this was ripped off from Japan. As I am also a fan of anime, I say you are a shame to all 'otaku' in the world.
It's a pretty 'slick and pop-ish' song for KBA, so having them all styled up seems quite appropriate. I'm glad it shows them playing--with KBA shows being such a rarity these days that's what I want to see. If I wanted the movie...I'd just rent it.
The truth is most people click on a YouTube song just to listen to it. If the video is good then all the better. Some people think the only good music video is a band playing live at a club; and then there's Lady Ga Ga's 250 million vid count "Bad Romance." As someone who also produces video I appreciate KBA's use of locals in their productions. I'm probably not the only local who smiles when they think of being served a brew by Mr. KBA at Satyricon not all that long ago. Cheers
I love king black acid, well done on the video, very original, thats the only way to go, no fancy shit, im a musician, why waste talent on some fancy video when its really just about the music right? You dont need a professional video or some video with special effects when the music is so talented, keep it up good stuff =)
Yes lazy. It's a great deal easier making a music video using footage already created by someone else rather than to produce something of your own. That's all we meant. Not all music videos are literal translations nor do they need to be.
@JeremiahLScott I gotta agree with Jeremiah here. If I wanted to see scenes from the movie, I'd JUST watch the movie. A music video is a different kind of experience. Unless the song is ABOUT the events in the movie (which would make a pretty lame song if you ask me) then clips form the movie don't belong in the video. King Black Acid looks great up there on stage, pantomiming to their studio track, and that's not an easy thing for a director to pull off. Bravi!
The video is just a performance piece. As far as fire goes we didn't want to do something so literal so we used lens flares to be the fire in a way. We didn't use movie clips because we're not big fans of music videos that do it. Some videos can get away with it but we feel it's the lazy way to go in a lot of cases. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks. We appreciate the feedback. True our video wasn't a narrative and we never intended it to be one. We simply wanted to make a stylized performance piece. It's really difficult to make something that everyone will like but we appreciate the views. KBA rocks!
Definitely a little more radio-friendly but still rockin and interesting just like they always have been.
I don't see all that many videos, so maybe I'm not the most astute "critic" but I really do like the art direction of this one.
I'm just glad Daniel got the band going again, or whatever it took... they are one of my all-time favorite bands that I've had the pleasure of being able to check out up close! I hope they are super successful, for our benefit as much as theirs....
can't we all just get along???

I think a lot of why the video is so irritating is due to the constant flashing.

The only reason Floater lets you open for them is because you make them look like gods in comparison to how you sound.
