  • this music and that movie somehow goes together like bread and butter. Possibly because Blade Runner seems to take a lot of inspiration from Metropolis.

  • AWESOME

  • For anyone wondering, the reason why there's a pentagram on the back wall is spelled out in the novel. Yes, 'Metropolis' was a novel. But guess what? You have to read it to find out.

  • Una gran música para una gran película!!!!

I still remember the first time I saw this movie long ago, it gave me goose bumps!!! Great mix!!! thanks for sharing.

  • " Reality, it's what still exists when we cease believing there..."

    " La réalité c'est ce qui continue d'exister lorsqu'on cesse d'y croire..."

    ( Philip K. Dick )

    ".."

  • Very nicely done indeed!!! This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The copy you used is much better than any of the copies I have owned. It's wonderful :) Thank you!!

  • Fantastic!! good job, i have the original version and you just made it better. Nice touches all the way through, loved the Metropolis video playing too, nice editing.

  • Avante garde!!!!

  • j'adore bladerunner et metropolis 2 chefs d'oeuvres indémodables~c'est magnifique~~

  • Very nicely done. I have never seen the movie but this movie is before it's time! The special effects are great! Not to be picky what is reason for the pentagram behind the android?

  • @BriansBunker you know what , i don't know why there is a pentagram, but if i was take a guess i think it was hinting at the fact the professor is like a necromancer and occult , got to remember this is the 1920's , this is so a head of it's time they had to hint at everything as having a qusai-religious undertone, even though it just personality transfer they try to give you the sense that the very soul of Maria is being stolen and place in the machine

  • @jmm1233 Close, about the necromancy: remember when, years later, Arthur C. Clarke said that any sufficiently advanced science is indistinguishable from magic? I think Lang and vo Harbou arrived at that years before. Anyhow, the deal is he's mad scientist and evil magician--both, because both pursuits would be necessary to create something as evil as the false Maria....

  • @jmm1233 Black magicks of the arcane are the only logical way to give a robot flesh without skinning someone

  • @jmm1233 this is extremely avante garde quantum metaphysics at is zenith transferring the immortal soul to another corporeal form.

  • @jmm1233 this is extremely avante garde quantum metaphysics at is zenith transferring the immortal soul to another man made corporeal form defying god Christianity.

  • @jmm1233 My guess: the "mad professor" - Demiourgos/God the Father/Osiris/Pan-Capricorn (the horns of the inverted pentagram are the goat's horns)/the Alchemist/the Old Adam/Prospero/ - is creating a mechanical version of his anima in a Satanic parody of the alchemical Conjunctio Oppositorum. Instead of creating the Virgin Mary, he creates Maria Magdalen, the sacred whore. Metropolis is the BABALON of Aleister Crowley, and Maria is the Whore of Babylon, Jung's dark anima in evil men's<3s.Lilith.

  • @BriansBunker

It is a METAPHYSICAL SYMBOL like the Egyptian Ank PAGAN.

She is a GODDESS DRIVING MEN MAD as SOME ladies do

  • @dja51 Alot of virtual Characters have been model after her (the robot) , best exapl off the top of my head , Shodan

  • Excellent Bravo!!!!!!!!

  • brilliant!

  • Fantático, adorei...

  • my favorites movies related in a main scene ... very nice idea !!

  • needs more snare drum

  • brilliant idea, works so well too!

  • Brilliant idea combining these two. Bladerunner owes a lot to Metropolis (putting it politely) but the Vangelis score seems to have been written for this piece. Beautiful choice of edits.

  • 3:47 tells us everything.

This is the plot, written more than 100 years ago, now in it's final stage: "The Ultimate Revolution" (Aldous Huxley, Berkeley Univesity, 1962) from above.

  • Stupendo abbinamento fra video e musica. Coinvolgente.

  • this fil is just outstanding for the time, just unreal what they did and the music just fits liek a glove....yes, nice idea

  • Incroyable!!! Je l`adore!!!!!!! its justso ad hoc.... u totaly inspired me to continue writing my comparative essay on metropolis and blade runner... merci merci!!!

  • your free to use this remix in your presentations if it gets a high score , hope it proves useful for you

  • by the way if only your doing an essay about pink floyd's the wall and eraserhead , have the full synced remix of that film for you too

  • y is there dancing? an the weird visions?

  • because the robot has become more beautiful to the elite but one man can see the death that lies behind the machine ,

you have to see the whole film to get that metaphor

  • great idea 5/5

  • the music really drives the scenes forward

  • That was awesome! i wonder where you dug up this vintage film but that's your secret.

  • it not a secret , it's the 1927's metropolis which is now open domian , you can get about anywhere , very cyberpunk for a 1920's film

  • Koooool!
