  • Agreed, 1:32 is funny! haha

  • I froze when the M2 almost fell off the table!! Great video and excellent gear!

  • @quinstamatic Hehe. I think it looked closer from the camera angle than it was in reality. "No cameras were harmed in the making of this video". Thanks for your comment!

  • Watched your 5b review and switched immediately to your 5c review once I saw the announcement that you figured out what to do with the height.

I am in the exact same spot where you are - 2 Ms, lenses - what to carry them in?

(small crumpler worked with one body and 2 lenses...)

Thank you a lot for that perfect no nonsense review.

  • @keulenclown Glad you enjoyed it and found it useful. Thanks for watching!

  • 1:32 had me ROLLING!

  • @mikemarin106 Caught you off-guard? :-) Thanks for watching and commenting...

  • Any way this would fit a t2i with grip & small lens attached (including maybe a flash and another lens)?

  • @Ikaruga102 Sorry, but I'm not sure. I just sold my Canon 30D (no grip) and I doubt this bag would have been useful to carry the 30D. It's funny ... I never even tried. Now, I'm pretty sure I read about creating the two "stories" in the bag on a Canon/Nikon DSLR site, so it must be do-able. However, the bag is relatively tight in the top, esp. the way the zipper is configured. Your best bet is to try it out at a camera store. Good luck!

  • Haha... awesome.

  • OMG! im lovin the leicas

  • great review... loved the weed bit!

  • @mohsink91 Thanks for watching. I aim to please :-)

  • thank you for being bale to put a perspective on this, too big for me, but the right shape at least

  • @photolinger I'm behind a bit on my comments. Thanks for watching. At least you know the bag /won't/ work for you :-).

  • as soon as he mentioned the weed stash....instant thumbs up

  • @PeachesPeach420 Hehe, thx.

  • I wanted a camera bag that would hold a M4/3rds Panasonic G2 with a kit zoom & 4 Nikon lenses. After watching you fit 2 Leicas with lenses attached & 3 extra lenses inside the Domke F-5XC I decided to get one.

Everything fits with extra room but it's too big for long rambles. Previously you described a bag several inches longer & slightly higher than the F-5XB. I'm paraplegic so such a bag would be easy for me to carry at my side without rubbing against the wheels. Are you still interested?

  • @zoestee Thanks for writing. Sorry the F5XC didn't work out as well as you'd hoped. I guess there are always trade-offs. You ask whether I'm interested in a wider, slightly taller F5XB, and yes I am. However, Domke doesn't offer it. Are you considering having a custom bag made? I was toying with that idea myself. Seems as though one could "sacrifice" a Domke F5XB to get the basic pattern, enlarge it a bit, and viola (I'm sure it's a bit trickier than that, of course :-)).

  • @mathomas1962 I can sew so I'm considering making my own bag using inserts & adding a zip pocket.

    There is a DSLR camera insert with 2 dividers, 4.1 x 10 x 7H, available at amazon.com for $22.00, but it's only slightly bigger than the F-5XB.

Or I could put 2 Domke inserts end to end, making a bag about 4 x 11 x 6.75H. But the inserts have no dividers & no padding on the bottom so I'd have to make a padded board base, but I don't know what material to use.

    Or I may not sew & get a F-5XB.

  • @zoestee (continued) So, can you elaborate on why you ask if I'm interested in a larger FX5B? You've definitely got my attention. Thanks!

  • @mathomas1962 I like the quality & design of the F-5XC so I'm keeping it for times when I need to carry all my gear. It's drawback is that if I carry it at my side it rubs against my WC wheel so I either sling it over my back, which is slightly uncomfortable, or let it take up my lap. I could carry the F-5XB at my side but it's a tight squeeze, as you noticed. Other brands make long in length, short in height bags, but I like the simplicity & organic feel of Domke.

  • @zoestee Glad the bag is at least partially useful. I find it a bit too tall, myself, but that does allow me to carry all my toys :-). I have suggested my changes to domke (see Tiffen's forum at tiffen.com "slash" forum).

Would be interested to hear if you end up building your own bag. Maybe you can do a video of it, should it work out.

  • @mathomas1962 I added a comment to your forum at tiffen.com in favor of a longer F-5XB. I hope Domke listens to our requests. I realize that Domke uses higher quality materials than I can buy so I'm not going to make my own bag for now.

  • @zoestee I read your comment. Thanks for posting there. I hope they listen, too.
