There is always the POSSIBILITY of more seasons, but no real source of SPN has made that claim. It is quite likely that SPN will end after season 6. There has been talk about a Colt spin-off, however. But that would be a separate show altogether.

actually, i think that because Lucifer's technically an angel, then only an angel can kill him.

That's why they say Dean is the only one who can kill Lucifer, because he's supposed to be being possessed by an angel (Michael) when it happens. But i'm assuming they'll find a way around that. Dean's proven he won't give into that crap.

My theory (admittedly not a very good one) is Cas will do it, or he'll be possessing dean when it all goes down.

oh, and also, another theory is that they won't kill the devil, but simply send him back to hell (no idea how). But if Cas can drag Dean out it should be possible to throw Lucifer in.

I don't think Cas will do it because he was only supposed to have a short story arc, (about 6 episodes?) and I think Kripke knew where Supernatural was going from the beginning, I don't think Castiel featured in his original plan for the ending.

word is that its not over yet. both Jensen and Jared have said that there is a good chance things will continue. Jared said that the 4th season was supposed to be the last one so they cut a lot from the 3rd and now that they wanna continue they're probably gonna use the stuff they cut. And Kripke himself said that while he's certain this story will end with season five, there's nothing to say their won't be another story. And i'm pretty sure those were his exact words. so odds are in our favor!
