i seen this on tv years ago lol ive had a go on one before at a road show they forgot to clear it off stage people were falling on it trying it out and going to hospital experience is needed gettin gon and off lol
i wonse made in carpenter class a small nail bed and when i laid down my colegues were amazed but wouldent try also herd of a guy in pensivania that slept a whole night in a nail bed
i wish pysics in school was this 80s easy now you gotta sit there a while sume boreing fag spews his shit to u about how great he is and how lowly and dum eveyone esle is to physists and then the test is impossible and has nothing he talked about in class fuck you university
@Miikaika25 What this demonstrates it that force dissipates when it is spread across moor surface area. We see that the apples fall through the spikes because the apples are falling on a relatively low surface area therefore the force of the apple on the spikes(and by extension the spikes on the apple) is more concentrated. With a human body his weight is distributed over the whole surface of his back meaning less force from each needle, little enough that there is no penetration.
Paul should be reading his physics book while being the man between the boards. That way he doesn't get concrete chunks in his eyes. Plus it would make a nice inside joke.
It's not a trick, it's pure physics. Those martial arts people that claim it's amazing are plain liars. If you don't believe me check out my video of my friend on a bed of nails. He doesn't even know any martial arts but he does know physics.
Kung fu/ Martial artist types have access to the actual physical understanding of the physics. The Physicists are able to put it into words, and use it to build space ships, and A bombs, and other interesting stuff.

"Paul's got more area"
There's a polite way to say "Paul is fat"

so what does it demonstrate? that it doesn't hurt or that he did not go threw the nails? I'm so confused.

Its ez
Pressure=force/surface area
if you have a high surface area then the pressure is gunna be low because force is constant
