You should make a video of the tree in Christmas Dreams - it is even better than this version, with all the new 2010 items and double the number of animations and lights. Did you build it for them or did they copy your idea?
I wish I had found your site before I built my 2009 display, it would have saved me the agony of trial and error to try and achieve what I could only dream of! Maybe one day I will have a display also worthy of sharing. I also love Julia's display - you both have a lot in common in your creativity. Great inspiration and Thanks a million for sharing.
Thanks for your kind comments revweasel. Actually, though the 2007 video gets more views and comments, I personally think the 2005 display was technically superior. It had more scenic elements within the tree itself and it had more animated table accents.
- if you are making your own display, extend the base of your tree beyond the circumference of the boughs, otherwise your tree will topple over with the weight of the buildings and pieces. Though your Christmas Tree will lend some foliage and colour, some mini pine trees add to the different textures. Run all your wiring before you start to put in the buildings, otherwise you will have to work around the finished vignets.
and your right i haven't seen anyone else do this! maybe your going to start some trend.if we do see others like this later,we will know where we saw it first!
that is so pretty.. must have one ... maybe 2 this Christmas :)

Lovely Video !! When Christmas bells are swinging above the fields of snow, we hear sweet voices ringing from lands of long ago,
and etched on vacant places are
half-forgotten faces of friends we used to cherish and loves we used to know.
