i overclocked my x1650 pro to 700 MB and 500 CORE and the framerate is like ...... 10 fps in very low graphics. i think the problem is that i have 1.6 ghz cpu... or the 512 mb or ram at 400 Hz.
its not an HD coz it will run your game smooth at 800x400 min. to 1024x768 max resolution on mid graphic settings. it allows you to play any shader 3.0 game and it has a 512mb or 256 ddr2 128bit, HD card will give you the min. resolution of 1024x768. just one thing. be open minded. if your going to buy HD graphic card be sure your MONITOR will meet the resolution requirments and refresh rate. coz if not. then your damn and stupid to buy it and play it with the same resolution as the x1650pro.

Sadly everything you are running is dated. You will need a PCIe card so that means a new motherboard and maybe cpu just to do that. The CPU could use an upgrade as well. Basically a New computer with PCIe, a Dual core [I prefer Intel] and an 4000 series ATI card 4670 or greator or an 8800GT

A friend of mine plays crysis with a AMD Dual core @ 2.5 GHz and a 8600 GT and gets horrible frame rates at medium. The issues is both his CPU which remains maxed throught the entire game and his GPU which is better than yours
it depends on what cpu you have got but if u have 1gb of ram and a half decent graphics card then it will run the game really smoothely my cpu is a dual core 2.4 ghz and it runs unreal tournament 3 like a breeze like I said it depends on your cpu!

yes becouse you have only x1650 but in this video its x1650 pro the x1650 should be 256mb but x1650 is 512 mb (i have x1650 pro its really cheap only 120$ my father boughed one for my buy one too)
No, it doesn't support DX10, and you have no idea how the DX10 changes everything.. Go with a GeForce 9600OC, that's the one i have and is not that expensive, you can find it for 150$..

i think, it's the amount of pixel that when u play. like the more anti aliasing, the smaller the pixels inside the game's going to be see? so instead of u getting the normal pixel rate, it has an option of knocking up some more pixel (they do this because they also want to run their games on lower spec systems i think) then if u have a high spec system u can jsut go on and manualy knock up the pixels. get it? i could be wrong, but the only way for me to lag is higher resolution and antialising.

yeah but your graphics card is letting the computer down. I'd recommend getting an 8800gt which will play it on high settings.

yes becouse you have only x1650 but in this video its x1650 pro the x1650 should be 256mb but x1650 is 512 mb (i have x1650 pro its really cheap only 120$ my father boughed one for my buy one too)

No, it doesn't support DX10, and you have no idea how the DX10 changes everything.. Go with a GeForce 9600OC, that's the one i have and is not that expensive, you can find it for 150$..

im on a budget of £30 ($60 USD) because i have already got most of my presents bought for me, so i cant get the geforce 9600m, TY for the help anyway. I think i will do just fine with x1650. :)

I have ATI Radeon X1650 PRO 256MB with 1406MB shared and I run perfectly any game. I just don't know if my card is DDR3 or DDR2 because my driver says it's DDR3. I hope so... Please answer if you know.

The 256mb version is gddr3 and the 512mb version is gddr2. I've heard many say that the 256mb gddr3 is better.

i think, it's the amount of pixel that when u play. like the more anti aliasing, the smaller the pixels inside the game's going to be see? so instead of u getting the normal pixel rate, it has an option of knocking up some more pixel (they do this because they also want to run their games on lower spec systems i think) then if u have a high spec system u can jsut go on and manualy knock up the pixels. get it? i could be wrong, but the only way for me to lag is higher resolution and antialising.

yeah it's true, but you're not playing on your console at 1440x990 of resolution, that's the difference.. if i put my res at 800x600 it will move the same at the same FPS than the console..

ROFL ROFL here he go again ROFL, gears is also on pc ROFL, and dx10 looks WAY better on pc than on 360 ROFL, plus if u get 2 9600gtx oc and sli them, gears would look NOTHING, and i mean NOTHING like on 360, it should look somewhat like crysis, and crysis will look like a real person, check out some of the screenshots they took using dx 10 on vista, u cant tell the diff between those character's eyes than a real person's eyes.

1. gears 2 only for 360 cause those guys were too lazy to make it for the pc, and wont fix bugs and such.
2. we'll have mirror's edge by the time gears 2 comes out, which is 100000000 times better looking than gears will EVER be (not with that laziness they wont) and since edge's going to be on pc, it's gonna be 10000000000000000000000 times better looking.

Well, pc gave ur 360 oblivion didnt it? and it also gave u mass effect, and flat out 2, and MANY other games that were on pc before xbox, some of the grand theft auto actually started on pc before xbox my friend. oh and i never said mirror's edge not gonna be on 360. oh and mirror's edge didn't look better than gears because it was on a 360 XD. if it were being played on a pc... ho ho ho!! XD

um... u know that pc can stick into MANY things right? like projectors, 50 inch lcd TV full hd, because the use of an hdmi cable provide full 1080p hd. watching blueray movies straight from the comp. and yes imo there are better games than gears, but if gears is ur all time fav then i wont argue with that. and yes 360 is practically a pc, if u read the spec of a 360, it will be just like a pc. really. ask ANYONE and they'll say 360 is a pc. and i couldn't care more about gears 2, i got burnout:D
