  • omwww i just cant do this :( i get it into a pentagon but then dont know where to foldover etc..:( wasted so much card trying..well half a sheet:L

  • For those having trouble with the pinching, I found out a way to make it work. First you have to start out by wrapping the "pentagon" NOT too tight and NOT loose. When you have 4 or 5 more wrap-arounds to do, begin to wrap a TINY bit looser, so it has room to expand. Not super loose, just looser. Then for the pinching, hold the star by the edges, as you would a CD, so your fingers don't flatten the star even more. Dent the middle of each side with the end of a pair of scissors. Works every time!

  • theres this gay asian girl at my school that knows how to make these.......

  • @renoretards that was the most simple random comment ever.....and it mad me laugh for sum odd reason

  • @aysia109 It may be random but its TRUE O_o

  • ilove these things!!<3

  • how do you fold the paper round and round? do you fold it straight or?

  • how do u fold it in the begginging to start with?

  • @Pikacute562 Take the strip of paper and tie the end into a knot like a piece of string. Then squish the knot and you will have a tiny pentagon (5 sides). Then you fole the paper around and around, tuck in the end and press in the sides with your fingernails to puff it up. Best of luck!

  • @acertainflower

oh right thanks. but do u need a certain type of paper or what? I tried it on looseleaf but failed.

  • @Pikacute562 It works better on thicker paper, so try cutting some printer paper into strips and see what works. You can also pick up star paper at any store that sells asian stationary or perhaps at the origami section of a craft store. : )

  • @acertainflower

okk but do u fold it to make it small? or do u just cut it?

  • @Pikacute562 I use magazine paper :)

  • @acertainflower We have the same Laptop

  • Thx for the help! My first one was sp ugly! xD After i kept practicing frm your video it got better! Thx alot! =)

  • Where did u get the paper??

  • MY S**PID STAR LOOKS B*O** DEMENTED

  • GOD SAKE I can't make it 3-D

  • dude... i love you xDD

  • i tried and it horrably failed D: it will not work at all

  • @Rasberryseed10 Make sure you're not using construction paper. The first time I tried that, it didn't work. Use thin paper. Hope that helps:D

  • cool

  • Okay; Mine turned out extremely disformed:D

  • One word; Addicting

  • @NcHaley Right?!

    What I did:

Before you start folding, write little notes in them and put them in a jar, so when you have people come over, they can have a little pick me up:D

I saw it on a website, and everyone who comes over thinks they are the CUTEST things ever:D

  • @Breeana90 That is such a cute idea! : )

  • A great video! So simple!

  • LOLOL I love shooting these at my friends with a rubber band :D

  • @noukilledit lol NINJA STAR!

  • @immature2349 lol!

  • It looks simple enough but it is hard!! I need to practice more :P

  • @metroSTATION72 : Just wrap around a few times. Wrapping around it too many times or too little will cause it hard to puff it up.

  • can u tell me the size of the paper?

  • @bubbley841 : Just use any ribbon that you use for gift wrapping. Wrap around a few times. No need to wrap that many times.

  • i feel like only really cool people learn how to make origami stars in their spare time.

  • How do you make the end stay tucked inside the star? Please help

  • @ezraroan : Just make sure the end is long enough. If it's short when you push it inside, it'll not stay inside.

  • @metroSTATION72 your probable folding it to hard. dont flaten it out after you fold it and then it'll puff out

  • I usually use tweezers for the pinching part. :P

  • Dude, you are a life saver!

  • i made one out of a 20$ bill

  • i tried some and 3 are really good! the rest is shit.

  • @itsjuliadude dud i just laughed at what you said haha

  • @itsjuliadude LOL

  • hahahah gonna rub this in my bff's face :p

  • the part where you have to stick it in is so hard!

  • I did it and it worked the first time!! All the other times it just bent when i was trying to make the points!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks im making 100 for the girl i like :D

  • :( I don't think my paper is thick enough.

  • im happy you had this on here! ive been wanting to know how to do it foreverr

  • I'm glad I am not the only one having problems with the pinching. lol. I think my problem is that I am pinching, when in reality, you're supposed to just use your thumb nail to indent each side.. Like, only the thumb is applying pressure, opposed to the thumb and index fingers.

  • this is soooo great! tnx... i <3 stars

  • coool :D

  • oh the star pinches my fingers off

  • Really, thank you so much! *-*

  • Awesome! This helps a lot, thanks! ^ u ^

  • thank you so much for tellin me how cause my cousin does those stars for me but she hyas never taought me to do them :(

  • heh, i think i learnt this at the age of five.. it was so fun to make!

  • i made 300 and something star at home useful tip when ur making the star try not to squish it down to much or it wont pop up when u squish the edges i brought my paper in china and in Asian staionary stores or i get a normal A4 paper and draw designs of my own!

  • um i figured it out i used that wrong paper

  • umm paper wont puff WE HAVE A PUFFING EMERGENCEH!!!!!

  • @gohamushu when you wrap your star dont wrap it too hard or too loose it will make it harden when you press in the corners

  • man at the pinching part i squish the star :(

  • haha.

that happened to me the first time too. you get past it after about 10 tries though. lol!

  • @iwillluvnickjonas dude i was laughing my ass off when i just read what u said

  • @iwillluvnickjonas

    me tooo!!! :)

  • i have no nails so I cant make good creases

  • the pinching part is hard for me, too. :(

  • the pinching part is hard for me :(

  • @ieatduckssss Instead of pinching, try just making a dent in the side of the star using the edge of something such as a spoon bowl.

  • ugh that paper is definitely not 6 inches long

  • so?

  • it says in the video description that it is

  • :D i know what I did wrong now! i used the thin paper!

  • omg, they are so cute. I sort of understood the diagram I saw, but this is pure gold, thankee'!!!!

  • aaaww its so small

  • I thought it was SOOOOOOOO much harder!

  • Thanks!

  • coool

  • i have no idea hot to make them look like a star. i got the folding, and pentagon thing down.

  • pinch the sides of the pentagon together..

  • yea u have to pinch it. it was a little hard for me but i think i got it

  • ah thanks! i've always wanted to know how for the longest time

  • omg u made life simple 4 me

  • thanks sooo much!

  • there cool :)

  • does it matter what sizes the stars turn out to be??? because i sometimes make mine the size of quaters but a little smaller.

    Please anwer my question!!

  • The stars can be any size you want. Just remember that the proportions need to remain the same and you may need to use thicker paper (such as computer paper). Experiment with it, I've never made stars much bigger than the ones in the video.

  • This is, by far, the best instructional video I've seen for these little stars.

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing until I saw this, and now I'm hooked. XD Thank you!

  • does it matter what size the stars are?

  • i've seen this done with ribbon, easier or no? and where do you get your paper?
