Yeah, life was soooo much better for Tibetans when the Yellow Caps grabbed power with the help of the UK. Tibet was the centre of democracy, medical care and science, political and religious freedom, progress, education, art and equality for men and women.
Literacy, health, education, life expectancy, and practically every aspect of life in Tibet has increased for the good. The revolution was a success. Since 2001, China has put $45 Billion dollars into Tibet. How much help did these monks and yogis give the people? Monks have supernatural powers but still have to beg for food and money. They are useless. Even the Dalai Lama said Tibet is better off in China.

THanks for the post, I never knew it was like this. I have Save Tibet bumper stickers and even one T shirt saying the same, but after viewing this I see there is nothing much to save. The countryside looks very barren, and it seems the main produce of the place is these guys going into caves and trying to remember their past lives. What the fuck is that about? I would like to know if prostration is a Tibetan meditation practice as I always see Tibetan Buddhist doing prostrations. Also, the way to prostrate taught by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, is it only for Tibetan Buddhism?
I wouldnt call it a meditation practice, and say others can prostrate that way if they want. If it helps you fight the ego, makes you more humble, mindful, less than the divine beings and your divine nature, then do it why not.

THanks for the post, I never knew it was like this. I have Save Tibet bumper stickers and even one T shirt saying the same, but after viewing this I see there is nothing much to save. The countryside looks very barren, and it seems the main produce of the place is these guys going into caves and trying to remember their past lives. What the fuck is that about? Possibly China could add improvements and is adding development to a place that got off on the wrong foot. Thanks again.

Thanks to him, and thanks to the direct instructions given by the Karmapa (one of the reincarnated heads of the tibetan tradition) Tibetan Buddhism is spreading, now there are hundreds of study and meditation centers. As a proof on how long sighted the view of the last Karmapa was, as they also have the power of the dimension of the 'future'.

Since last March widespread peaceful protests have erupted across the whole of Tibet. Most of the participants were youths born and brought up after 1959, who have not seen or experienced a free Tibet. However, the fact that they were driven by a firm conviction to serve the cause of Tibet that has continued from generation to generation is indeed a matter of pride.

THE DALAI LAMA IS GOING TO COURT!!
Indian High court in New Delhi is summoning Dalai Lama to court due to his unconstitutional ban on the ancient practice of Dorje Shugden on his own people.
In India where there are so many religions and their subsects, it is unheard of that a secular/religious leader can issue such a ban.
It has shocked the Indian psyche.
Preliminary hearings have began.
