just....simply astonishing. i've heard so much about his story, and also about how it's "just instict to survive", that "anyone would do the same". i believe that to an extent, but it doesn't make the story any less astonishing. trying to imagine his joy after this is enough to make me tear up...life is such a beautiful thing.
