This is the first time I've seen a video about God and our personal relationship with him that actually touched me. The first time. I am still having problems with my relationship with God but it has little to do with me being a lesbian and more to do with others things. Maybe I need to start actually believing in him first so I can acquire a relationship with him...Anyway, I'm happy I watched this video. It was very insightful indeed.

I have a niece and her mother is a devoted Christian so am I. She and her daughter have been at odds about her being a lesbian. This is the first time I've seen a video about God and our personal relationship with him that actually touched me. The first time. I am still having problems with my relationship with God but it has little to do with me being a lesbian and more to do with others things. Maybe I need to start actually believing in him first so I can acquire a relationship with him...Anyway, I'm happy I watched this video. It was very insightful indeed.

I lost sight of God because of the hateful and heartbreaking things people would say to me as a kid. You're going to hell... you deserve to die... And many many others. So I turned away.... Until I saw this video. It sparked something in my soul I guess and I immediately wanted to reconnect myself with God. I have a niece and her mother is a devoted Christian so am I. She and her daughter have been at odds about her being a lesbian. I want to send this video to both of them so that they may be able to learn how to deal with this without the damnation and anger. I am not like that I feel anyone who wants a relationship with God can have it. I have been trying to research and learn about gay culture so that I can know what my niece may be feeling and what kind of support i can give my niece.

You hit it right on the nail famm. Like me growing up it was like "ohh you gay you going to hell" which made me think like ohh since everybody say im goin to hell I might as well give up on God. My dad is a minister and i mean he tells me everyday to just give it to God and I'm starting to understand God and the way he works in a better way ya know. Understanding that God is love and he wants us to be one with him;it doesn't mean that you have to give up your life style but understand that no matter what we do in life we are accountable for it. So i do agree with you in many ways. We are people of great understandings and we must stand for something are we will fall for anything. It doesn't matter what we are but what we are to him. My sister has a friend that doesn't understand why she do the things she do in the name of the father.
