I have an E30 325i and the only performance item I have is the Signature Motoring performance CAI for about $150. The performance kit adds around 9HP on the dyno, sounds freaking great, and installs in under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

-Avg 9 HP increase

-Lifetime filter

-SOUND AWESOME

-30 min. install time

Aside from the power gain, the SOUND is amazing at higher RPM but sounds normal in regular driving. I’m thinking about added high-flow exhaust next.

1st i hope u r excusing my bad english :)

the problem we have is called TÜV - its an institution powered by the german government - they take look at all changes you make to any part of the car (so they want to make sure that all cars on german streets are secure to drive) - even if one screw is not included in the original part list they want to make several tests - to make sure its safe.

this guys told me there is an problem to insert an 1988 AC-Schnitzer motor into an ...

in your vid - i think you build a new car - you can do this in germany to - but you really have to pay for it - to make this car drive legaly on the street.

the only legal AC-Schnitzer E30 driver in germany - i think (hope). (4th gear is up to 210kmh - 5th gear to save fuel - or have more fun)

i think its not bad for an 23 year old engine!

@liskoski The original V10 M3 conversion was actually a shop project of piper motorsports. I don't believe it was a commissioned car. To answer the question this particular car is done. This is the second "Franken M3" and in my opinion less tastefully done than the first. check it out.
