  • I miss 2nd Street Cafe pancakes. :(

  • My old neighborhood where I grew up. I now live in Midwood but I still go to the Slope to my dentist.

I'd like to move back but, alas, the rents are too high.

It's changed over the years. Used to be bars on every corner. These were replaced with real estate offices and/or Chinese restaurants :(

    Still a great neighborhood..

  • Thanks for the lovely photos - my daughter and family lived in Park Slope for 5 years and I feel homesick (even though I never lived there!). And I so, so miss Barnes & Noble.

  • Thanks all... Most of the photos were taken in Park Slope. I added some Brooklyn photos in the mix for those who are not familiar with that area..I could have called Brooklyn but since majority of the photos were PSlope, it did not feel right.

Next time I will be more careful, promise!!

    Till then take care,

    Dido aka New York Muhtari

  • great pictures I love all the brownstones

  • Looks like quite a few pictures of President Street, where I played lots of stickball as a kid back in the '70's. We had friends who sold their brownstone on Carrol St. in '73 and moved to Long Island...they sold it for $35,000!!

    Love the Jobim, btw!

  • 80% of these pics are NOT in The Slope!

  • where is 3rd street aka the most beautiful block in brooklyn!

  • Gosh, most of these pictures AREN'T IN PARK SLOPE.

  • Except for the bridge photos, they're all Park Slope. I recognize almost every house featured, and I haven't lived in Park Slope in 10 years.

  • Isn't that funny? I live there now. Some of them are in Windsor Terrace or other similar places but not Park Slope.

Most was perhaps an exaggeration, but there are a lot of them that are not Park Slope but just Brooklyn in general.

  • where are some of this streets? i'm going for a visit and to shoot some pics of these beautiful houses. Which streets would you recommend walking on?

  • I have lived in Queens all my life, but I must say Brooklyn is the superior borough by far! Great video and really nice music too

  • That's funny, I have lived in Park Slope all my life, but these yuppie/hipster slimeballs have succeeded in making me hate my own hometown.

I will probably end up moving to Queens, since it seems like there's still plenty of normal human beings living out there.

  • Hahaha I feel you man Queens is pretty chill. There's less hipster scum and it's cheaper; however, it's kind of away from everything and there's not much to do. There's a few museums and some other cool things but very few I must say. But if your older and you want to settle down for cheap Queens is the way to go!

  • @Luckilius

Its funny how these people are somehow supposed to bemaking the hood better but it seems less like a neighborhood everyday. I encourage you to move down below 17th street and seventh avenue into south slope (?). Sure, the hipsters are moving in daily but it still retains much of the old school charm,,, and cheap tacos!

  • Brilliant photographs, great transitions, nice timing. Not sure how music relates. Music feels a little happy, Manhattan late 50's/early 60's...Barefoot in the park. Nice work!
